  We chose this hotel for a quick stop over and the only real amenity we would be using was breakfast, just a shower, and place to sleep. Rooms- updated and clean but the shower in my parent’s room had very low pressure and was cold. My mom visited the front desk in the evening about the cold and low pressure shower and they told her the maintenance staff would be in at 10am the next day…by then we would be gone. Seems odd they don’t have any staff overnight. They said they’d call her the next day to make it right, I waited a week to write this review because I like to talk directly to management to give them a chance, but still no word from them. Breakfast- We chose holiday inn express because they USUALLY have a good breakfast. This was awful. If I could rate on breakfast alone it would be one star. The woman running breakfast did not care. The garbage was over flowing and they were running out of everything. They are famous for their cinnamon rolls, but had none. The sausage was like hockey pucks. I wanted to make an egg and sausage biscuit, but they were out of sausage. She said 5min. 15min later when the sausage came they were out of eggs and biscuits. Gave up on that idea and tried for pancakes, they were out of syrup and forks. She wasn’t really trying to fix any of this. I also mentioned these issues to the woman at the front desk and nothing changed. Overall, low effort from the staff

  Go to breakfast at 835 no breakfast it should have hot breakfast for every person staying here..I won't stay here again..poorly done..

  Great staff. Very attentive and responsive. Clean (as expected). Hotel is sound proof so even though it’s right next to highway it’s quiet. Happy with the stay.

  I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. The staff was excellent. The rooms are great and the included wifi and hot breakfast is clutch. The location is in a gentrified area but there is a local mart across the parking lot if you're in need of snacks, beverages etc. This location is about 15-20 minutes with traffic to the downtown area and the airport. I travel frequently and hotels like this are rare. The building is clean, the area is safe, generally, and I will most definitely utilize this location again whenever I'm in the Tampa area.
