Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Rooms would be 5 stars except for the ridiculous bathroom sink, nearly impossible to use. Fantastic location walkable to all of Ybor, average gym. Friendly staff willing to help.

I travel frequently for work and rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was frustrating from start to finish.
Upon arrival, my first room had a strong rotten egg smell and the closet door literally fell inward when opened. I had to request a room change immediately, which was inconvenient after a long travel day. While the front desk moved me, there was little acknowledgment of how unacceptable the room condition was.
The larger issue, however, was how staff handled the government rate at check in. I was treated with suspicion and questioned in a rude, interrogative manner, with assumptions made that I was improperly using the rate for leisure travel. At no point was I professionally asked for specific documentation. Instead, the interaction felt accusatory and unnecessarily confrontational.
If a hotel chooses to offer a government rate, guests should not be made to feel like they are doing something wrong simply for booking it. Professional verification is understandable. Poor attitude and assumptions are not.
I later received a follow up from management that failed to address the room condition issues and continued to imply misuse of the rate rather than taking accountability for the service experience. The response read more like a defense than an apology.
Between the room quality issues, the staff demeanor, and management’s handling of the situation, this was easily one of the most disappointing Hilton stays I have had.
I will not be returning and would caution other travelers, especially government employees, to consider other options in the Tampa area.

I'm currently staying here for two nights. The rooms, elevators smell like weed. And at 2 am I woke up with itchy skin and insect bites. The place might have bed bugs or dust mites. My room has been changed twice. Now I'm scared to sleep in the bed. And on top of everything the phones don't work at night. I'm going to request my company to remove this hotel from list of preferred hotels. This is ridiculous

A fine solution in Ybor City (Tampa). Lots of nearby restaurants. Parking is $30/day which seems high. Front desk staff us excellent.

This place is gross. The photos speak for themselves. We had someone clean our room multiple times and it was still nasty. Dirty towels, pee around the toilet, an odd substance seeping through the ceiling in the bathroom, stains on the carpet, dirty/black grout on the tile floors, etc.
On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location is great. This hotel has potential, but it needs much better cleaning standards and attention to detail to meet basic expectations.
