Went on a cruise and stayed here. Very nice hotel and the restaurant attached is amazing
I applied for a position at this property on October 21st, 2025 and was immediately greeted by an AI system named Sarah. I scheduled my interview through the chat box, but based on past experiences with automated systems, I followed up the day before my interview by calling the property directly. I spoke with Angela Larkins, who asked about my employment history at the neighboring hotel, including who my managers were. At the time it seemed harmless, since both properties are in close proximity.
My interview took place on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. It started later than scheduled because Ms. Larkins was handling a guest escalation that the other front desk agent could not de-escalate. I understood the delay and still felt the conversation went fairly well overall.
However, there were several questions that made me uncomfortable. For a second time, she brought up my prior hotel and began asking about the demographic of the guests there, implying that they were “less than” the guests at her property. She also asked, “How did you feel when you worked there?” which seemed to be less about my job experience and more about how I felt around the people who frequented that property. I redirected the question and clarified that I left because my values no longer aligned with management, and that I wanted to work somewhere I could still feel proud of the work I was doing.
I was told that the role was part-time, which fit my schedule perfectly. A week later, I followed up by phone. A male front desk employee said he would connect me to Ms. Larkins, but instead of placing me on hold, he simply put the phone down and walked away. After a few minutes, someone eventually remembered and put the call on hold but no one ever picked up. I was finally sent to her voicemail. I left a message. Like many job seekers in this market, I never received any response at all.
This property is owned by McKibbon, and having worked for McKibbon before, I expected the level of professionalism and employee care they are known for. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Between the inappropriate interview questions, the lack of follow-up, and the way communication was handled, it became clear that this environment is probably not a good fit for me.
I still value McKibbon as a company, but this location in particular did not reflect the standards I’ve come to expect and I’m sure that it also subtly speaks for the guest experience.
This is exactly what we needed for 1 night before our cruise. Close to airport, with a free shuttle, clean huge room (seems new), heated pool, complimentary breakfast, big shower with all the needed amenities, great coffee bar and excellent service from Jacquarda (sp?) at the front desk. No water in the fridge tho and we couldn't find a safe in the room but all minor things. Would stay again and recommend.

I will not be called ma'am - I hate it when being addressed in an email by Ms. Larkin. This is what the manager wrote me in an email to me and will summarize: she is blaming her front desk staff when it's clearly management's fault.
No mention at all of parking charge at front desk, very limited parking, and fyi it's not your property it's the business complex property, and only parking in the garage should be charged as it states on the website for this hotel.
This manager is very mean and is not understanding or kind. She will not refund me and I demand to speak to the GM or owner. What she emailed me was down right insensitive and unprofessional.
I have a whole list of things I can complain about regarding this hotel including misleading customers at front desk regarding fees.
I never got charged for parking until now and she refuses to refund me the $10. I am pissed.
Fyi: People are starving and suffering financially but she doesn't care about people and what they are going through. I am not letting this go. I am angry.
She belittled my feelings and for that brought me to this bad review and will spill my tea whomever else who can intervene here.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! One never knows who makes these decisions but I caution anyone from booking this property, especially through Expedia. I submitted what I believed to be a two night query using Expedia's bundle and save option. The final price was two-thirds higher than the one night price that was quoted, plus I had used Key-Cash, so I thought I was good to go, not realizing that on the confirmation page the search had been changed to 1 night. Didn't know I needed to start having a lawyer review Expedia info to make sure I don't miss something. Anyway, I cancelled everything and when I explained why I had done so, this property blew it off stating that they have a "strict policy", like anything in America is a strict policy nowadays. At least Expedia refunded me the amount I spent in Key Cash, but for this hotel to be so obstinate, I do NOT recommend using them. Life's experiences have taught me that when places of business are this rigid, they are not someone you want to do business with.
