This was one of the worst Embassy Suites we have stayed in over the last 20 years. We've always chosen this hotel chain Because we love the two room suites, and have always enjoyed their nightly happy hour so we didn't have to leave the hotel in the evenings and drive all over town. As far as as the rooms go, the y were clean and decent. But we were paying for more than that. It seemed as if they took an employee from another area of the hotel to tend bar, because this man was clueless on how to make a gin martini with extra olive brine. They didn't have any Baileys at the bar, not much else, and all happy hour drinks were limited to two choices of wine, one red, one white, and very few drinks the bartender knew how to make. Also, the FREE drinks are very limited, unlike every other ES we've stayed in over the last few decades. After our first drink, the bartender didn't get back to us for almost 30 mins, when we were going to order food, but then it got too late, and we wound up having to eat snacks for dinner. Don't even get me started that they never indicated our relaxing get-away would be crashed by a two day Pokemon convention, which was horrific, extremely noisy and disruptive. Later, we were told that THIS particular hotel was NOT owned by Hilton as advertised. That spoke volumes, as all searches claim "Embassy Suites by Hilton", but that's clearly a lie. We will never rebook this particular hotel ever again, as it gives Hilton a BAD name due to their deception.

Adjusting review. Although, Matt the bartender during happy hour is kind and friendly our overall stay has been less than pleasant. Let’s start with being a family of 4 and only 2 towels, we’ve had to ask for extra towels every night and waited over an hour to get them, one night we just went to the front desk ourselves. The blow dryer was broken in the room, the shower head is tiny and there’s zero pressure, the phones in the room don’t work, the pillows are awful, super lumpy, beds are small and the worst part the AC is freezing in the living room and hot in the bedroom. We are on day 2 and our phones still don’t work, the AC hasn’t been fixed despite asking to have maintenance repair it. Scheduled to be here another 2 nights and we are cutting our trip short, we rather leave than spend another uncomfortable night. Super disappointed, expected better for the money paid.

If I could leave negative stars I would. The hotel lobby was dirty and the trash can at the entry was overflowing. The carpet in our room was coming up and they taped it down where it met the tile floor - the tape kept coming up and we were tripping over it. The bed was so old, squeaky, and uncomfortable. Dripping faucet in the bathroom, and the toilet was not working properly. I pointed these issues out when checking out and they said "oh yeah...that would definitely keep me up at night". But they offered NOTHING. And here's the kicker...they claim to offer special rates for Moffitt Cancer patients, but those rates are actually higher than AAA or senior discounts. WOW.

i was there accompanying a veteran for appts at the VA. that’s why the location gets 5 stars. as for service, the front desk staff was efficient and friendly. really appreciated the ability to borrow a phone charger, too. both chefs at breakfast did a good job at the made to order station, all the food was good. daisy was also working hard, keeping the tables clean and assisting guests with anything they needed. the remake/model of our room was really nice, color scheme and furniture well coordinated. had a little trouble with the tv due to not being familiar with streaming and what buttons to push. we managed. overall, a very good overnight stay. *one thing of note…the outdoor trash cans by the pool and pet relief area were overflowing and looked as if they hadn’t been tended to in a few days. so full we couldn’t shove a poop bag in and had to use the cans by the front door.

This review is to document an utterly unsatisfactory and frankly shocking experience at this Embassy Suites location. The standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest service was profoundly deficient, resulting in an experience I was relieved to have completed.
The most egregious issue was the lack of basic hygiene. The room was dirty upon check-in. This extended beyond minor oversight, as we observed insects in the main reception area, which was immediately concerning. Worse, the presence of bugs was also noted inside our guest room.
The state of the bedding was perhaps the most disgusting detail. Upon arrival, the sheets were visibly soiled with what appeared to be someone else’s hair. When I called the front desk to request a linen change, I was appalled to find that housekeeping did not change the sheets for me; instead, a bundle of fresh sheets was simply left in the room for me to change myself. Adding insult to injury, I then realized no new pillowcases had been provided. When I went to the front desk to request pillowcases, the replacement pair I was handed was covered in highly visible stains. I had to request a second pair of truly fresh pillowcases to be sent to the room, which is an unacceptable ordeal.
Service failures compounded the cleanliness issues. Despite having a room intended for four occupants, we were only supplied with two towels. Obtaining additional towels was a frustrating process that required nearly an hour of waiting after placing the request. Furthermore, there was a significant lapse in property maintenance and safety when the elevators were shut down because a guest became stuck inside for over an hour. The indifference displayed by the front desk staff regarding this serious safety incident was alarming. Many guest in wheelchairs were stranded on their floors until staff could direct them to a staff elevator. This is a huge ADA COMPLAINT issue that I will be reporting to the association. As the staff seemed to act like the elevators going down was common as also stated in previous reviews.
The entire stay was a wild and disappointing experience, and I am glad it is over. The hospitality standard here fell dramatically short of what is expected from the Hilton brand. I request a full refund of the Hilton Honors points used for this reservation, as the experience did not meet even the minimum standard of a clean, safe, and serviced stay.
