Below Expectations – Consider Other Options
I am sharing this review to explain why I would recommend booking a different hotel, especially as there are better options available in Tampa(I have been different times)
Overall Experience: A hotel stay should offer comfort, rest, and enhance your visit to the city. Unfortunately, this property did not provide a comfortable or welcoming environment.
Staff & Service: Upon arrival, the hotel appeared very different from the online photos. The reception staff showed little empathy or hospitality. Additionally, when I reported that the towels in my room were dirty, the response from reception lacked professionalism and concern "so, you want other towels".
Rooms & Facilities: The hotel is outdated and in need of urgent maintenance. Old carpets, visible water damage, unfinished walls and ceilings, poor cleanliness, unpleasant odors, and humidity significantly affected the stay.
Gym: no gym. Just walking machine. I went to reception and I was told the dumbells were stollen, that they are working on this.
Food: very poor, not even American breakfast. No bacon. Low quality Products.
Positive Note: The parking area has been the only highlight so far, apart from the location.
Overall, I would rate this hotel 1/10. I am still completing my stay and will update my review if there are any improvements

Worst manager that I have ever met. He invaded my privacy, entering my room uninvited while I slept. Sprayed Lysol around room, and in my face, again while I was sleeping. Also left me with a toilet that he knew was plugged up. I had the room for another 22 hours in that room. I was sick, that’s why he did what he did. Of course like any good criminal and bad excuse for an American business owner, he denied everything ! Stay far away from this hotel

I would give this property zero stars if possible. I am a travel advisor who booked this hotel very last minute for guests departing on a cruise. I called the hotel front desk to let them know of their late arrival so that a note could be placed on the paid in full reservation. When guests arrived, they were told there was no reservation - although I had reconfirmed it by phone the day before arrival! Now they do not want to offer a refund to the wholesale partner who opened an inquiry into the issue. Thank goodness the wholesale partner values relationships with travel agents and guests. Shame on you, Best Western!!
Updated to say the response from the manager is laughable, considering I provided the booking number for the hotel and their front desk staff then confirmed the guest's name when I called. I repeated multiple times that I was the travel agent calling to confirm, and never once requested the lead guest's name to be changed. If that happened, then perhaps he needs to better train his staff in handling requests and basic comprehension skills.
