- AHAnita HutchinsonDec 29, 20253.0Front desk staff was very unfriendly. The elderly guest checking in before me asked about places to eat and was told any direction there’s food. True enough, but maybe help a little more for your out of town guests. When I stepped to the counter, there was no greeting, just a terse “give me a minute”. Now, I am the only person checking in, I’m not in a hurry, so it’s okay, but keep the attitude. I am pretty sure when I made the reservation I didn’t opt for someone else’s bad mood. As an IHG Platinum Elite guest, I don’t really ask for anything extra, but it is nice to be welcomed upon arrival, thanked for being a loyal customer and asked if I want an amenity or points. None of those occurred.

I was in Tallahassee for work, so I did not book this stay myself and did not have time to thoroughly research the property beforehand, but I wish I had. Upon check-in, I went to my room and immediately noticed pubic hair on the toilet. While the bed appeared to be made, it was clear the bedding had not been changed. I notified the hotel staff, and they addressed the issue quickly. Housekeeping is only provided every seven days, which is quite annoying. Trash can pile up fast if there for a longer period of time. Also, enough towels were not provided. I went to the front desk to request clean towels, they were given to me, but I was told I needed to bring my dirty towels back to the front desk. Since I was staying for eight nights, it didn’t make sense for my room to be cleaned on day seven when I was checking out the following day. I asked if housekeeping could be scheduled earlier, and they were able to accommodate. After returning to my room, I noticed that one of my bottled waters was missing. While that wasn’t a major concern, I later discovered that my distilled water was also gone. I use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea and it requires distilled water, so this was an issue. Once again, the front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. She contacted her manager, and he personally brought me a gallon of distilled water. Overall, the staff was courteous and willing to help when problems arose, but housekeeping is the downfall of this hotel. Fortunately, my stay in Tallahassee was short, so I managed. Had I been there longer, I would have booked another hotel.

Nasties stuck on end table. Assistant manager promised points for the horrible state of room. He lied??? We stay in a lot of IHG. SKIP THIS ONE!!??!! Moth flying around in bathroom! Orange mold in bathtub. GROSS!!!

She ran into an issue, with creating the room keycard while checking me in, but quickly resolved the problem by personally escorting me to my room and bringing me the keycard as soon as the machine was fixed. This helped me get settled into my room to after a long drive. Her positive customer service oriented attitude and her quick resolution was very much appreciated. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
