As my family and I were preparing for bed our 1st night we made a disturbing discovery: live bed bugs on the pillowcase and inside the pillow itself.
I immediately went to the front desk to report the issue. I was informed by the desk personnel that the hotel had no other rooms available. I then requested their assistance in securing a room at a nearby Hilton property, which I was told they could not or would not do. I asked to speak with a manager, but was informed that one manager was on vacation and the other would not respond to a text message at that time of night. The hotel offered no assistance or alternative solutions, leaving my family without a safe place to sleep.
I then personally contacted the Hilton customer service number. Thankfully, the corporate customer service team was professional, empathetic, and ultimately provided a complimentary room for us at a different hotel location. I was informed the general manager would contact us the next day to follow up, but no call was received that day or the day after.
At this point we discovered that we were charged for the second night. When my husband eventually contacted the GM's (which we had to proactively do) we were told that while the hotel found no indication of bed bugs, they would process a refund anyway. Note, if we didn’t check our credit cards or contact the GM this refund would not have been provided.
The most disappointing aspect of this entire ordeal was not necessarily the bed bugs or the lack of available rooms, as sometimes these things are beyond immediate control, but the profound lack of customer service, empathy, and follow-up from the front desk staff and the general manager.
Given my experience and after reading many other online reviews mentioning ongoing issues with pest control and poor management follow-up at this specific location, I strongly advise all travelers to be cautious when making reservations at this Hilton location.

DECEMBER 2025 STAY:
I stayed here previously and was glad they were able to accommodate my reservation again. Everyone truly did their best to make me feel at home during my three-week stay.
I want to give special recognition to Blanca (General Manager), Claudia and Brian at the front desk, and Kathleen in hospitality/breakfast service. Each of them was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring. I regret not getting the housekeeper’s name—she is the unsung hero who made it possible for me to rest and recharge after long workdays.
I loved the coffee bar, which is available all day, and the Christmas decorations were simply festive and warm, adding a comforting touch to the atmosphere.
I highly recommend taking the time to get to know the staff and letting them know how they can help make your stay comfortable; they truly go above and beyond.
OCTOBER & NOVEMBER 2025 STAY:
I stayed for five weeks and overall had a great experience. There were a few mishaps during my stay, but each one was handled promptly and resolved to my satisfaction by the appropriate staff. Front desk team members Eileen, Victor, and Omar were consistently attentive and helpful.
Kathleen from the breakfast staff kept everything well-stocked (coffee, pastries, meats, and more) and the breakfast area was always clean and pleasantly festive. The Halloween pumpkin-carving contest and seasonal décor added a fun, welcoming atmosphere throughout the stay. The maintenance team was friendly, responsive, and made sure everything was in good working order.
The Mediterranean-style architecture added to the property’s visual appeal, and having a full kitchen in the room was a major convenience, especially with Publix and other shopping options right across the street.
I’m definitely planning to book here again on my next stay.
