Weirdest, creepiest hotel experience EVER!
First and most importantly, Yasmine was awesome at check in. She worked with my needs and used my status to upgrade me to a gorgeous room, #328 to be exact. Thank you, Yasmine- Your genuine kindness was noticed and appreciated!
Now, the room itself was fine... Until around 8p. Hubby and I were both working on our little projects online, and had music playing.
He looked over at me, and said, "You hear that?"
I cut the music off. Sure enough, it wasn't the music- there was this weird ringing, reverberating tone emanating softly throughout the room, and it felt like it was coming from the wall between the bed and the bathroom. It slowly rose, pulsed for maybe 10s, then faded away. It was like a sound effect from a horror movie.
We shrugged it off, and continued our work. It happened again about 20 minutes later, a little different, quieter. Curious, I looked around, peeked out the window, but failed to determine a cause.
He was exhausted, and went to sleep around 9:30p. We'd heard the ringing once or twice more at this point, softly, and agreed that it was odd.
Around 10p, I curled up next to him to read, and as soon as I was in bed, the resonance swooped through the room, LOUDLY. It lasted around 40s this time, and I was starting to get a little skeeved out. Sure, this could have been psychological, but it felt like there was some kind of presence around.
Over and over, the room chimed at various volumes, and nearly vibrated, at least 20 more times before I started to record it. (I'm attaching my best recording as a video here.)
Here's the weirdest part-
Once I decided I couldn't stay awake anymore, and went to sleep, it STOPPED.
Around 1a, I put my sleepbuds in and sleep mask on, and left my phone on audio recording. (I didn't sleep well, as you might imagine.)
I went over the recording first thing in the morning. As soon as my breathing had slowed and deepened on the audio recording, the chime did not occur again.
There was, however, a sharp KNOCKKNOCK on a wall around 2a. (Keep in mind, this is a room on the end of a hall, only one possible neighbor.)
Also, closer to 4a, it sounded like something was thrown across the room near the entry way.
(I told the assistant manager about my experience in the morning via the text line, but never heard back...)
Oh, and breakfast was good- included hot bar with fruit and carbs!
