  We were very satisfied with our stay at this EVEN location. As a Platinum Elite member, I received complimentary snack and drink, which was a nice perk. The location is very convenient and close to the largest DDI in the US, which I was excited to check out.

  Mgmt on down completely in effective, un professional, jokes. Garrett, Ana, Laura, and Alex totally inept. Reservation for a Suite for wedding night made with Mgr Garrett, months in advance, confirmed day of with a call FROM Ana, anything special needed? No just the suite that has been reserved and confirmed. Arriving that afternoon. Alex, Ana, no suites available, sorry about wedding night, too bad. really messed up plans to have stuff dropped of before wedding, NO EXPLAINATION to this day of why 1 of 4 suites was given away. Just sad Alex at front desk like a deer in headlights. No mgr's availabe, no solutions, just stay in another room. Laura, the following night, after requesting it, moved contents into a suite and comped the messed up night and 2nd night. added 3rd night and had to pay, that was ridiculous, should have comped that as well, but she at least did something. Bottom line, 1st, Suite should have been there for important night all knew about for months and THAT DAY with Ana's confirming call. Someone messed up probably, still no explanation, with no accountability and just "sorry" and blind looks from ineffective Alex. 2nd, unprofessional to leave hotel managed by a person clearly without proper skills to be in charge of anything. Never received call or communication for Garrett Mgr. Sad. Many other options in Lakewood Ranch.

  I typically stay at the Voco downtown Sarasota, but IHG had doubled the room rate for Xmas week, so I tried the EVEN brand (first experience). I will begin with the positives: this is a newish, affordable hotel with amenities that elevate it beyond a typical chain hotel, e.g., off and away from busy UTC, a lake view, outdoor pool, fitness center, and a decent restaurant/bar open for breakfast and dinner. Mikayla in the bar is an outstanding professional. She takes excellent care of her traveling customers with efficiency and empathy. Now, the negatives: there is something truly off about the Management of this hotel! Even though fully booked, they had only one server scheduled at breakfast. Many guests left without being served and the frustration of that one server was palpable, making for an unpleasant start to the day. The front desk is often empty and the phone rings and rings with no answer. Many staff are new to the job and do not know answers to simple questions, so they make things up (Q: may I have a bath mat? A: the hotel does not offer bath mats :/. This response even though one showed up after two days). The housekeeping is decent, and accommodated a later afternoon cleaning which suited my grueling schedule, but it was also inconsistent. I asked each day for hand soap refill and never received any. Metal parts in the shower fell off several times and nearly caused injury, even though I was told that "engineering" would fix the issue. Building Maintenance is, in general, quite poor, with stained carpeting, non-functioning light fixtures, a glacially slow elevator, and the loudest entry doors in Florida. Book with caution!

  This hotel has everything you need to stay healthy and balanced during a trip. Amazing gym, in-room amenities, great little bar and restaurant and super close to some of the best shopping and restaurants. Easy ride to the airport too. I’ll be back!

  OMG, y’all – I just found the ultimate hidden gem in Lakewood Ranch: the EVEN Hotel Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch! 😍 Super clean, modern vibes, and the staff are seriously the friendliest ever. They’ve got an onsite restaurant (food is 🔥 – I was obsessed!), a MASSIVE fitness center that’s next level, AND get this… fitness gear right in your room for those lazy days when you can’t make it downstairs! 💪 I had a business meeting in one of their conference rooms and was shocked – didn’t even know they had that! Total surprise after surprise. Plus, it’s right on a stunning lake with gorgeous views. The perfect bonus! 🌅 If you’re heading to Lakewood Ranch, BOOK THIS PLACE ASAP – you won’t regret it!!
