I drove 4 hours to this hotel with my daughter and family, only to be told at check-in that they had no room available, even though my reservation was fully confirmed and paid for. No warning, no call, nothing. To make it worse, the staff showed zero empathy and simply told me to call Expedia for a refund, leaving us stranded with no place to stay. This was extremely stressful and unprofessional. This is not just bad service — it’s irresponsible. If you overbook, the customer should not be the one to suffer. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families.

The only good thing I can say about this place is that it’s pretty close to everything, a quick 20 minute drive to get downtown and the beds are comfy. Now, for the bad things. - They said the room was “clean” but it wasn’t clean. There were dust bunnies all over and random hair everywhere. - fridge wasn’t really cold. - bathroom has a weird smell to it and was only left half a roll of toilet paper. - paint chipping everywhere. - bathroom towels had hairs stuck on them. - I had spilled some water so I grabbed a little towel to wipe it up and the towel went from white to black in 2 seconds. I could tell that the floors had never been cleaned ever ! - night came and I called the front desk and requested some extra pillows and a blanket. Receptionist said ok we’ll be right up. I waited almost a hour and no one ever came. I called back and someone else picked up. I let them know I’ve been waiting and no one’s shown. Their remark was “I went and looked for pillows and we don’t have anymore, housekeeping is gone for the night. I have a blanket for you but you’ll have to come and get it” I let them know that the previous person said they would bring it to me and they said well they are gone for the night. I have the blanket here for you. I was not going to leave my sleeping baby alone in a room for a blanket. - stains all over the hall carpet and the elevator floors were disgusting. If I could give less then 1 star I would. At least the receptionist that was on duty when I left was nice.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall it was a mixed experience. ✅ What I Liked - Great location: Very close to the highway, which made getting around super convenient. - Safe area: I felt comfortable the entire time. - Nearby conveniences: Plenty of restaurants and shopping options within a short drive. - Fair price: The rate was reasonable — not too expensive, not too cheap — and matched the general value of the stay. ❌ What Needs Improvement - Outdated interior: The room and bathroom both felt old and in need of renovation. - Poor flooring work: The flooring looked cheaply installed, almost like it was sitting on top of the trim instead of being properly fitted. - Noise issues: The biggest problem was the noise from the room directly next to mine. The connecting doors and thin walls made it easy to hear everything happening next door. This wasn’t outside noise — it was all internal, and it really affected the stay. - Room placement: The hotel wasn’t busy, yet we were placed right next to other guests, which made the noise issue worse for no reason. - Maintenance problems: - TV remote had sticky buttons and several didn’t work. - Thermostat was difficult to control — the room was either too hot or too cold with no comfortable middle ground

This location charged me twice. Once in points and once on my credit card. I reserved the four night stay in IHG reward points. After leaving I see a $760 charge on my account AND missing 70,000 points! IHG customer service says it was points (which it was), the General Manager Christina Threadgill Gooden said it was made with money. I provided picture proof of the points missing from my account and the confirmation email confirming points as payment. She did not care. Refuses to refund me my money. I have had to file a dispute with my CC company which oddly enough the IHG customer service rep recommended. The upgraded “suite” we stayed in was a horror from the start. I’ll attach photos for proof. We used a confirm able upgraded to get the upgraded room which was one of the worst suites we’ve ever been in room 319. Whoever painted it got blue paint on the shower, the tile, the trim, inside the kitchen cabinets, the closet, the toilet plumbing. The cabinets were so filthy we didn’t feel comfortable putting our food in it. The AC didn’t work, I had to call the front desk because it was leaking all over the floor and I slipped in it after getting up the first morning. The second mini AC in the room leaked a HUGE puddle. The room would never get below 70 so we couldn’t even sleep well, that’s why we checked out an entire day early. The tv remote wouldn’t work so I called the front desk they sent up an older gentleman (he was very nice) but he took 20+ minutes and two trips to finally fix it. I didn’t want to be rude, but he had the worse body odor. It took the room 30 minutes to air out after he left. This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had at an IHG. I’ve stayed here in the past on business and it was a great location, but the newer GM Christina Threadgill Gooden has ran it into the ground as of late. PLEASE do not stay here until the GM is replaced.
