  Super location, clean and comfortable rooms and an amazing staff combine to make this a great place to stay while visiting St. Augustine. I also need to mention Julie who works at the front desk - she's personable, diligent and understands what is important to her customers. A great representative for her company.

  Do NOT stay here! There are bars on 2 sides of the property. Our room backed to blaring live music until 2am. It was so loud. The room door was also missing the seal at the bottom so the wind came howling in. We were told that they couldn’t move us because they were booked and given a useless pair of “complimentary” ear plugs and a sheet of paper with a noise disclaimer stating that the noise law is only in effect 2am-6am. I wasted a few hundred here and I hope you don’t do the same.

  I did a lot of research on hotels. The location was key and this was the best location for the buck. It has a view of the bay and you are literally in downtown historic district. Room was renovated and exact what we needed. Its very loud through the night but if you are ok with that you are golden.

  3/26 - Location, location, location. An older hotel that serves the purpose, stay close to the action. No longer has free breakfast or breakfast vouchers ( I get that). You can get 10% off a a cute cafe next door. Room & bathroom are small but who spends time in the room? At check-in they share there may be a noise problem (assume spring breakers) but we didn't experience it. Has a coffee pot, remodel bathroom w/ walk-in shower. Great place to stay, did I mention LOCATION?

  Most EVER paid for a Bad Nights Sleep What ever happened to transparency? When we checked in we were asked if we wanted a first or second floor. We had stayed at the Bayfront in St. Augustine FL before in a second floor room and we were not feeling the "carry our luggage up the stairs" moment so we chose the first floor. Little did we know our Room 118 abutts the music stage in the bar/restaurant the hotel shares a wall with. I was hopeful there was a noise ordinance that the music would end by 10:00p or 11:00p, but no such luck. The merriment and fast moving rhythms lasted till 1:00a and then talking and laughing continued after that. I should be grateful there were no drums in the group, but I suppose it wouldn't have mattered because I was already up praying for it to stop. At the desk this morning, the staff stated that they worked there for 11 years and the noise problem has no solution. Well I have a few. 1. At check-in, tell guests what they are agreeing to. Be completely honest as to how loud the noise is and how long it will last. 2. If you are going to charge the same rate as a room with no entertainment, sound proof the shared wall. 3. Have the business that shares the wall include contract language to only play slower quieter pieces after 11p. This may help settle their patrons before going home. If I can come up with some options image what Best Western could come up with your business neighbors. So I'm old. The time taken from me last night and in writing this review from my finite bank of time I will never get back. Your hotel was not the respite we needed. This makes it hard for us to stay with you again.
