We tried another 3 rooms, one had such an intense smell of bleach/cleaning agents that our eyes started to water, the other two smelled very musty. The only reason why this is a 2 star rather than 1 star is because the customer service staff were actually very good and let us check out early with no charge. But I would never stay there again. Very disappointed, this is usually a reasonable hotel chain.

- AAAMANDAOct 21, 20251.0Needs Urgent Renovation — Disappointing Stay for a Memorial Trip I stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Port St. Lucie – Tradition for a family memorial trip, and unfortunately, the experience took away from valuable time we hoped to spend together. The room had a strong moldy odor, dirty grout, chipped paint, and rust throughout the shower, AC, refrigerator, and dishwasher. There were stains on the carpet, curtains, and windows, holes in window screens, and a live roach in the elevator that flew onto a family member. On day two, the closet door in the first room fell off its hinges, and we were moved later that morning. The second room was slightly better but still had rusted appliances, a detached dishwasher, and bed sheets that didn’t fit properly. The staff were kind; the operations manager acknowledged the issues, said we didn’t receive the Hilton experience, and confirmed the hotel is on Hilton’s list for renovation. The hotel credited one night, and Expedia refunded most of the rest. Breakfast is advertised for 3 hours on weekends and 4 on weekdays, but hot items run out quickly—arrive early.
