  Dirty rooms with hair and mold. Reeked like cigarettes. They did offer a refund but of course every hotel was booked.

  This is one of the nicest, and well kept, HIE that I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot (all over the southeast US). I was in a newly remodeled room and everything was great. I have also stayed here a couple of years ago, and it was pretty well kept. Lorry took care of me at check-in. She immediately greeted me and was super friendly. In the morning when I checked out, the front desk clerk was also very friendly. This is a big plus, I've come across too many hotel desk workers that won't even go as far as to acknowledge your presence. I will definitely be staying here again, and next week, in fact.

  The staff here was amazing. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Special shout out to Aaron, day shift manager. He went above and beyond. I will be back.

  Lorry at the front desk was so friendly and helpful getting me checked in. Morning time came and Kathryn on food preparation was also so friendly and nice. Not sure who the manager was on duty at 11am, February 9th, 2026, but they need educated in customer service. Being friendly and nice to your customers are the only reason a place gets repeat visitation. I'm not happy at all about what was said.

  The customer service is phenomenal here. We had to cancel our reservation the morning of our Anniversary trip (one of our toddlers woke up with a stomach flu), and I was doubtful they would "refund" our stay as we were past the 24-hr cancellation window. So even though I didn't pre-pay, they'll typically charge your card for cancelling without more notice. I called and the front desk girl was polite, talked to her manager, and told me they would "see what they could do." I figured it was a lost cause... I should probably buy trip insurance next time. But to my surprise, about an hour later, the manager called me back and said my stay had been canceled with no penalty! I believe he said his name was Aaron. Such a nice guy! I will definitely be staying at this location in the future! I've always enjoyed Holiday Inn Expresses and have stayed in several over the years across the country. But this one's at the top of my list now :) When we DO end up getting to stay here in the future, I will be sure to update my review to mention room quality, breakfast quality, etc. But good customer service seems so rare these days – and it was a breath of fresh air to speak with people who seemed to genuinely care. Thanks Aaron!
