    The staff and hospitality is excellent. However, the constant amenities failures of getting locked out of the building, then locked out of the room (separate occasions) become headaches. There is a restaurant, a movie theater, and a grocery store all within walking distance. It would just be nice if the things we paid for were working.

    Great stay - room suites are nice and spacious, beds are comfortable enough, TV is huge with Netflix and Disney+ that you can login to, hot breakfast with variety from 6-10am. Earlier checkin and later checkout which is nice. Shower was actually really good, and the body wash and hand soap smelled amazing. Stayed for 3 nights and would stay here again in the future. 4 stars because the walls and ceilings are thin, we unfortunately stayed below a disrespectful guest who stomped (literally stomped hard enough and consistently enough to shake the furniture on the walls) all night and early in the morning. Front desk was helpful and contacted them to be mindful, which helped with their stomping for awhile. Our last night those people were gone, and that day was a 5/5 stay.

    This hotel was a 10/10. We stayed one night in a king suite and it was immaculate. Very clean and spacious. The front desk staff were kind and very accommodating, they even checked us in a little early! The kitchenettes are stocked with everything you may need to cook, the bathroom stocked with all the toiletries you may need as well. Housekeeping was so sweet and offered a late check out if needed. The breakfast staff were helpful and there was a great selection of hot and cold options. Bonus points for the 24hr coffee/tea station and free parking. It is a great location as well, with everything you need close by and only a 20 minute drive to the beach. Overall I would highly recommend and would stay here again.

    My partner and I have stayed at this Home2Suites location on many occasions due to its proximity to Sacred Heart Hospital. On Saturday, October4th, I booked a room at this location (Confirmation #81098481). Upon arrival, the front desk agent (Thalia) informed me that a $200 deposit for "incidentals" would be charged to my card. As Hilton Honors members, we have NEVER been assessed a $200 deposit at any Hilton location across the country and my partner is one reservation away from diamond status. During my previous stay *at this same location* I was only assessed a $15 deposit which I was fine with paying. ***If this is truly a policy, why is a $200 deposit not mentioned when booking a reservation?** Why surprise a customer with such an unexpected expense?? My primary issue with this location is the blatantly disrespectful and DIShonorable manner in which I as a Hilton Honors member was treated by Chance, who I later discovered is the assistant manager at this location. After asking for clarification and some back and forth regarding his unprofessional explanation for the sudden assessment of a deposit (including "Pensacola people tear things up," "it depends on how many times you've stayed here," etc.) Chance abruptly instructed the front desk agent to cancel my reservation, leaving me stranded without accommodations for guests from out of town. It goes without saying that *I* should have requested that the reservation be canceled. It is absolutely unacceptable and *highly* inappropriate for a member of hotel staff to rudely elect to cancel a confirmed reservation that has already been paid for. Then Hilton had the audacity to send me an email notifying me that *I* had cancelled the reservation late and threatened me with possible financial penalties. Notably, my partner was able to check in to this same location the *same day* WITHOUT a deposit. This leads me to believe that I was profiled in some manner. If the policy is a $200 deposit for one customer then it should be a $200 deposit for ALL customers. I have not received a response from Guest Services regarding my complaint ( Hilton Guest Assistance Case # 253212729) even though I was promised a response from General Manager Marie within three days. This is not surprising since my grievance was forwarded to management at this location (the direct source of my cause for contention). This is the very reason that Chance was so confident and blatant with his disrespect. Rest assured that Chance has been unprofessional before without consequences. He is well aware that nothing will be done about his unacceptable behavior. This type of unprofessionalism should never remain unchecked. At this point I am reaching out to corporate regarding a resolution. At the very least, management at this location needs to be coached in proper conflict resolution and professionalism. My only hope is that posting my experience will prevent additional customers from sharing my highly unsatisfactory outcome, particularly Hilton Honors Members who anticipate and *expect* much better. Be AWARE.
