  Because I work for a long-distance moving company, I spend much of my time traveling. I came in tonight from the Holiday Inn Express, just two buildings down looking for something to eat. More importantly, I was looking for something to drink to relax and unwind after a long day driving back up from Orlando. What I didn’t expect to find was a bartender like Madeline. She came to me right away, greeting me with a smile and “Good evening, I’ll be right with you. Here’s a menu and blackened shrimp tacos are amazing.” I ordered them and they were terrific, but the Old-Fashioned that Madeline made for me was so great that I had to have three more. Her personality and careful attention are something I’ve only been able to find in high-end restaurants in my traveling, so to find this at a Holiday Inn Bar and Grill was something I didn’t expect but made my experience. I can’t wait to travel through the Pensacola area again to come and enjoy her service and her conversation. I’ve heard about McGuires, but we should consider the U-Turn Bar and Grill to be of the same caliber as long as they hang on to this wonderful young woman.

  I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn at University in Pensacola, Florida. While asking to get batteries to change for my remote, I had the pleasure of being assisted by Shania. she not only went called maintenance to retrieve two AAA batteries. She also held my phone because I forgot it at the front desk when I went to run an errand in the world that I believe is on fire to know that people are responsible, accountable and honest, I must say it made my experience at the Holiday Inn in Pensacola in the university area much more pleasurable! Thanks SHANIA! You all know, I don’t know what I would’ve done if I lost that phone laugh out loud! I just wanted to add that I’ve been here for two weeks at the Holiday Inn Pensacola, Florida, the University area. My wife and I have been traveling on business. I’ve traveled because I played professional basketball overseas and I think I know a little bit about hotels and customer service. I’m 62 years old and you wanna really receive excellent service for your heart and money. This place gave me exactly just that I also wanted to say thanks to LOURDES and PARTH along with the buffet staff, the cleaning staff and everybody else involved to make my stay a very pleasurable you guys really impressed me. I would definitely recommend and come again PEACE!

  Long trip for me and came into Holiday Inn and was so pleased with the service I received. I took down names of people who work hard to be of service. Rose - Angie - Ralph. Serving a broad range of people can be hard and these folks made me feel welcome and provided excellent service. Well done and thank you.

  I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I attended a three day event in the conference room. We ate in the restaurant every night. Madeline did a fantastic job! She was handling everything from taking orders, making drinks, running food from the kitchen, and cashing us out. She never lost her cool… she was great under pressure. Kudos Madeline!
