    Ms. Janice Abner Nicholson made us feel cared for and nurtured as guests and friends, during our Training. While several staff helped us, Ms. Janice exhibited such excellent service and beyond. We will definitely look to Holiday Inn as a Training go to, due to her service. We'll done, Holiday Inn. You trained them well.

    I chose this hotel after researching and digging through many reviews before booking. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in the stay. Here's why: 1. The hot breakfast isnt included in the room. It said online it would be an extra $15 a room. For some reason there was no option to add the breakfast to my booking online, and so we decided to pay for it when we arrived. On site, it was $15 per person not per room. We paid $30 and I expected the best breakfast around. However, the food was kind of overcooked and dry. The muffins were prepackaged, not fresh. There were no waffle makers like in the online photos. Only burnt pancakes that weren't very good. The waffle maker was the thing I was most looking forward to and all the pictures online show a bunch of waffle makers. 2. I was very surprised by the hotel room's lack of hot water. Our room appeared to have no hot water. We eventually figured out that if you let the hot water run for about 20 minutes it becomes hot but seriously I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't have ample hot water. 3. We packed a bunch of food for a nice picnic. When we got to the room they have this odd system where your room has no power turned on until you pay and bring a card key to the room. So when we loaded up the mini fridge it wasnt cold and we thought it needed a few hours to chill. Wrong. The next morning we discovered our mini fridge had never turned on, and all of our food was spoiled. We called guest services and they replaced it, but still, it was another first for me. Ive never been to a hotel where the mini fridge didn't work. Our food was ruined. The good things about this hotel are the grill had good food and the spa was amazing. However, after reading many glowing reviews I expected more. There were no surprise cinnamon rolls or fresh baked cookies in the afternoons, like other reviews have stated, and if there had been I am certain it would have cost more money and not been included in the room. You're better off getting a room from a different hotel with a pool and free breakfast because at this hotel the only thing that comes with your room is your room. UPDATE: I am editing this review to also add that two weeks later my deposit still has not been returned. You have to pay a $50 deposit when you check in that is returned once you leave provided there is no damage. I called and confirmed there was no issue with our room, but two weeks later I am still out of this money.
