Unfortunately, the Panama City Beach location is one we will not be returning to. We were unexpectedly charged for parking, something that has never happened to us at any other hotel, including any other Home2 we have stayed at. When my husband questioned the charge and mentioned that we had never been charged for parking before, the front desk clerk (morning of 11/28) simply responded, “That is fine.” It’s not about the $10 — it’s about the principle. Charging guests to park in an open lot in the middle of nowhere, with no commercial areas or special infrastructure around, makes no sense. And even more disappointing was the lack of customer care in the response. We’ve always enjoyed Home2 Suites, but this particular location truly fell short.

They even had the foresight to hand me extra pillows, blankets, and sheets for the pull out couch. Friendly, helpful and kind. But the walls are paper thin...I could hear the neighbors talking and singing all night. Anyone in the hall way sounds like they're in my room. Not being able to sleep, for anything in their control, ruins a hotel for me. We're looking at Airbnb next time.
