Overall, our stay was not completely awful — there were some nice aspects — but the experience was disappointing in many of the details, and I do not feel the hotel lives up to its current rating.
The lobby and overall appearance photograph well, and the property looks attractive online. The ocean view rooms do offer a nice view, but that is largely due to the location itself, which is good. However, once you experience the hotel up close, it becomes clear that corners are being cut in service and upkeep.
The pool was set to 73°, regardless of whether it was 85° or 70° outside. At that temperature, it was essentially unusable unless visiting during peak summer months. Nearly everyone at the pool was commenting on how cold it was, and most people did not want to get in. It felt like an obvious cost-saving measure on energy.
Breakfast was a major disappointment. It is marketed as made-to-order and full quality breakfast, but in reality it consists of a very basic omelette station using pre-mixed vegetables and bacon. It did not feel truly made-to-order. One day the grits were super super salty and another day, the bacon was totally overcooked, and the eggs were definitely like a powder, not real eggs at all.
On Saturday morning, We waited over 45 minutes for an omelette that was mediocre and oily. And the buffet portion was completely empty— it had been picked over and not replenished for over an hour. Guests were standing around asking where the food was because there was literally nothing available. Spills and trash were left unattended on the buffet tables, and no one appeared to be actively managing or restocking the area other than coffee and plates (which ironically were the only things that didnt need restocking). After waiting and receiving no clear answers from various staff, The banquet manager was eventually located, as he had been absent from the floor and outside at the pool bar where there were zero patrons, yet this cluster was going on in the breakfast area. When he arrived, he showed little urgency or concern that there was no food out whatsoever. There was no meaningful apology and no visible effort to resolve the issue promptly. He just said that he was shortstaffed and I said well why don’t you get back there and help them? For a hotel of this caliber and price point, that level of indifference was disappointing. The food that was available other days was basic and mediocre — not at all as described. I would have been really upset if I was counting on having breakfast before having to leave for a flight.
The restaurant food that is not included with breakfast was extremely expensive. We paid $18 for a basic piña colada in a plastic cup, just for reference. I got a quesadilla one day and it was again just basic/not great - I could’ve made one 10 times better at home.
The rooms were on the smaller side and we had a premium room. The floors were visibly dirty, and our bed was sandy. The mattress was very hard, the pillows were flat and uncomfortable, and the sheets felt low quality and scratchy. One lamp in our room was broken, the flooring was peeling up, and the shower water pressure was poor. The air vents clearly needed a deep cleaning. The carpet on the first floor near the back of the hotel was gross and very worn.
Housekeeping was also inconsistent. We asked twice for the sheets to be changed. They finally did so on the second-to-last day, but it made little difference regarding the sandy bed. Attention to detail was lacking.
Noise was another issue. While not entirely the hotel’s fault, traffic noise was extremely loud even in the middle of the night. Sleeping with the windows open was not possible, and even with them closed, we were woken up frequently.
The staff were generally friendly and pleasant on a surface level. However, whenever there was an issue, many employees appeared unsure how to handle it, would say they needed to find someone else, and then never return. There seems to be a lack of customer service and hospitality training when it comes to problem resolution.

Really loved the location, convenience was fantastic. Fun, family friendly restaurants close by. The pool was great, hot tub was great. Daily breakfast was wonderful (as always). Staff was so friendly and kind. Very accommodating to us, as we had 3 children (5,3 & 10 months).
However, there was a significant issue 2 days before we were to check out. In the evening, the water was turned off without any notice or announcement. We thought maybe there was an issue so the water was turned off temporarily and didn't think anything of it. The next morning, I woke up early so I could wash all the baby bottles I wasn't able to wash the night prior and not a drop of water in any of the sinks, showers, couldn't flush the toilet. I went downstairs to inquire, and as you can imagine it was chaos. Everyone was downstairs complaining about the water. Supposedly there was no water in the entire city. The staff did the best they could, offered water bottles, but that was enough. There people getting pales, ice buckets, whatever they could find to get water from the pool and bring it upstairs to flush their toilets. The situation was outrageous. We were of course forced to check out early because by 10:00am, there was still no water. In conclusion, the hotel was great, staff was great, but due to this experience, I give it 3 stars.
However,
This was a great experience friendly staff great food and the hospitality was unbelievable kinda spendy but worth every penny

My wife made our way to Panama City for our honeymoon to celebrate us. To be honest the beginning of the trip was very shaky. Brittney the AGM turned it all around. Thanks to her we had a great trip she ensured that our celebration was special and my wife felt loved. The rest of the staff was okay I do feel like they could use a little bit of training. I had to ask 3 times to have the maintenance fix a lamp. I had to ask separately to get body wash which took a while to get. The breakfast was great as well as the happy hour. The only one thing I will add is the fruit flys in the morning was a pest and needed to be delt with. Overall the hotel is beautiful and it is a great location. I would like the staff to be more accommodating with the guests needs instead of being about the money. Thank you Brittany you were outstanding!!

We were very excited to start our vacation in PCB, Florida and the hotel experience is a major part of it. However our experience with the front desk lady by the name of Amy or Abbey was very dry and somewhat offensive because from the moment we walked in we were told that there was no room available for us even though we had paid around $1500 in full weeks prior to our arrival. She didn’t do much at all to help us other than tell us to wait, so we waited and hours had passed until the general manager herself came to check on us after seeing that we were just sitting around. She was then able to get us a room and upon entering the room we were so disappointed to see how tiny it was with the smallest window ever and that it was NOT the room we had booked with a gulf view, so we packed everything and went down to the lobby and complained and the general manager herself set us up with the best room they had which had a a balcony and the most beautiful view of the ocean. It’s just funny how someone like that Amy or Abbey lady would be allowed to work the front desk and greet and welcome the guests when she wasn’t very welcoming, accommodating or very knowledgeable.
