I’m not sure why people complain about this hotel. But to each their own.. I have stayed here twice now for two separate occasions. 3 nights. My room was HUGE, beautiful, two private balconies, 2 pull out sofas and a private bedroom with private balcony. Bagels, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal & fruit. Juices, coffee and tea. An employee in the room cleaning right behind all the guests. Totally awesome for being free. The view is perfect. 1/2 sea and 1/2 city. The oceans dark at night so the city view makes night time just as enjoyable. You can see as far out as the bridge! The water was HOT, so hot my husband had to turn it down and still mentioned its warmth. My daughter took a warm shower right after and she too said the shower was awesome. Connected the PlayStation 5 to the tv and the WiFi was so good we were able to play active online video games all evening and night. The staff was amazing! We arrived early and they let us check in at 1 instead of 4pm. We went down to ask for extra bedding for the pull out sofa and it was handed right to me in like 30 seconds. Pillow and all.. the rooms offer a discount for Uber Eats so you pay no fees to order OR there’s a diner called Angelina’s literally right across the street and it’s delicious! I’ve stayed twice & I will stay any other time I return to Ormond. My room had an iron and ironing board as well as a mini fridge. Ice machine on every level and a filtered water station free for guest use. They also provide beach towels to use on the private beach on the property: for free. Yes it’s $10 a night to park… but it’s underground parking, on the beach, at a Hilton… it could be worse… awesome place!

The advertising and photos are very misleading this “hotel” is really more like a 2-star motel. We only needed one night to rest during our trip, but unfortunately it was awful due to a dog barking nonstop in the room next to us. Honestly, the Spark Hotel name should have been “Bark by Hilton.” The location is good since it’s right on the beach, but everything else was disappointing. The property feels run-down, the surrounding area isn’t great, and pet owners don’t seem to be monitored. On top of that, housekeeping tried to get into our room while we were sleeping, about two hours before checkout, which was very upsetting. This place could be great because of the ocean view, but it really needs better maintenance and stricter pet policies — such as keeping dogs in a designated area so they don’t disturb other guests. Breakfast was just basic items like bagels, cereal, coffee, and milk. If you don’t mind noise, pets, and limited comfort, it might be fine but it definitely wasn’t what we expected.

Amazing hotel! Clean, well maintained rooms, with a perfect ocean view on the fifth floor with a balcony. Rooms are reasonably priced and the staff is friendly, professional, and accommodating. Free breakfast with a nice clean dining area. Very nice outdoor pool, plenty of space to relax outside with beach access that includes an outdoor shower with a footwash station. Parking lot underground and an upper parking lot on ground level. Will definitely stay here again!!

Very Disappointing Stay – Poor Cleanliness, Missing Bedding, and Unprofessional Staff Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend it to others. While the room appeared somewhat updated at first glance, it quickly became obvious that proper cleaning is not being done. Upon entering the room, there was long black hair throughout the bathroom and sleeping areas — on the toilet, in the tub, and even stuck to the bedding. We cleaned what we could initially and left for the day, assuming the issues were limited. I wish I would have take pictures before using the bathroom but we were in a hurry to enjoy our evening. We specifically booked this room because it was advertised to accommodate six people with three beds. Two beds were set up as expected, but when we pulled out the sofa bed in the evening for our children, there was no bedding at all. When we went to the front desk, we were told they had no bedding available. This was shocking, as providing bedding for all advertised sleeping accommodations should be standard. We were handed three loose sheets, and the staff member was unfriendly and dismissive. We then requested additional towels since the room only had three towels for six guests. The front desk questioned how many towels we already had and then rudely stated that we were “supposed to ask for beach towels” after using the pool. No such information was provided at check-in, nor was there any written notice explaining this policy. We were given no paperwork, no hotel information, and no guidance at check-in. Regardless, questioning guests over towel use — especially with six registered occupants — was unnecessary and unprofessional. After returning from dinner, we became increasingly uncomfortable with how dirty the room truly was and decided we could not stay. We contacted Hilton, who directed us to Trip.com (who we booked through). Trip.com contacted the hotel directly and also received a rude response from the front desk staff. We were told the manager would be contacted the next day, but two days later no manager has responded, and we are being denied a refund. We checked out around 8:00 PM and were in the room for approximately 30 minutes total, mostly to drop our belongings before leaving to eat. Despite the lack of cleanliness, missing bedding, and unprofessional treatment, the hotel has refused to issue a refund. A hotel that advertises accommodations for six guests must be able to provide clean rooms, proper bedding, basic hospitality, and respectful service. This property failed on all counts. Think carefully before booking here. We deeply regret our stay.

Our room on the 5th floor had a fantastic view of the ocean and sunrise. The room was clean and comfortable. There was 2 of us but only one chair; in-room fridge but no microwave or coffee maker. Minor points but for an "upgraded room" it was lacking. TV had only streaming channels requiring subscriptions and no national channels to be able to see the nightly news so we just used our phones. There was a $10 charge for parking in THEIR LOT. The hotel needs some TLC for sure. The floors to the rooms are chipped and dirty. All in all we made it a nice 2 days but this hotel doesn't rate the Hilton name. Could have been a Knight's Inn or Days Inn.
