My husband purchased the bundle pkg online of the aquarium, Madame Tussauds, and the Orlando eye just a few days before we were coming to Fl from out of state because by doing so, the website says we save money and we did! We saved $40 for our family getting the tickets in advance. We haven't vacationed in 10 years and so we were so very excited to be able to do something like this and to go to all three! Unfortunately when we arrived there last Tuesday to do the aquarium first, the lady informed us that the Orlando eye was closed that day and we would need to come back another day when it was open. Thursday we looked on the website and it showed us that Friday it was to be open between 2pm to close. So we said let's do it! We're leaving on Saturday morning so let's get that chance in to see it and so we planned to go the next day. On Friday morning, I told my husband to check the website just incase something should happen and it's closed for whatever reason. He checked it and the website said it wouldn't be opened that day! It informed us that next Tuesday, (today) actually it would be open, but it didn't matter because we're from out of state and we were leaving on Saturday morning to go back home. I left so disappointed that not only did we not get to see the city from up high, but we paid for something we never got to experience nor be able to atleast get a refund because they don't do that. So to anyone wishing to get the bundle deal in advance on the website to get in order to save money. I'd say, do NOT do it! They do no refunds and it is not certain the eye will be opened when you want to come! If I could give 0 stars I would. This is my experience and I hope someone will take this to heart when planning a vacation from out of state and thinking of purchasing tickets in advance.
I pre purchased tickets for the eye a week before going to Orlando Florida on vacation. Unfortunately for me, after driving forty minutes to the eye I found out that it did not pass inspection so it would be closed for at least a week. I could not even go back a day or two later. They would not refund my tickets but only extend them for a year to come back someday. I do not think I will be going back in a year. After some arguing I realized I was getting nowhere. I think they go through this a lot. DO NOT PRE PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS. They are using the eye to get you into the park. Sort of a bait and switch.

We usually go in the afternoon and still planning to try it at night. We always enjoy it and it’s a definitely a must do when in Orlando. I just wish the cabins would be air conditioned better, especially on hot days.
My partner and I visited recently and were unfortunately pretty underwhelmed. The first shock was the price—it was over $40 per person at the gate, which felt very steep for a 20-minute experience.
Once we boarded, the capsule was uncomfortably cold, and we noticed the glass is heavily darkened. While this probably helps with the Florida sun during the day, it made visibility at night really poor. Instead of seeing the 'magic' of the city, we mostly just saw poorly lit parking lots and the tops of buildings.
We were also looking forward to using the touchscreens in the capsule to identify landmarks like Universal Studios, but they were useless. They didn't show any maps or landmark info—just played boring background music. It moves so slowly that you’d think you’d have time to spot everything, but there just wasn't much to see beyond the immediate area.
Definitely not worth the high price tag for a couple’s night out.
