Please stay anywhere else. To me, the biggest offender was the mattresses. Absolutely rock hard, I am not being dramatic, was equivalent to just sleeping on the floor. The elevator that made me fear for my life also wasn't great. You couldn't press the first floor button and you also couldn't visit your own floor without pressing the third floor. Add this to the fact that it had expired it's inspection over two months ago. I did not remotely feel safe. The traffic from I-4 being right next door was also audible inside the rooms at night and the blackouts didn't close properly because of the window shape.
The two stars here is because all of the staff was nice and the premise was very clean. But as a person who stays in a lot of Hilton properties, this was the worst I'd ever been in.
Please just book at one of their equal priced neighbors. The suite wasn't worth not even being able to sleep.
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and had a GREAT experience. Our room was very clean upon arrival and the a/c worked great. Each morning the breakfast offerings were fresh, hot, and tasted good. They even have health conscious offerings, which I appreciate. The coffee bar was always stocked and fresh and the fruit infused water was also a nice offering. We did use the pool and hot tub a time or two and have no complaints there. The location seemed convenient for the things we wanted to do (non Disney/Universal stuff). The few times we need something, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Our only complaint and the reason for a 4-Star review versus a 5-Star is the elevator situation. During our stay there was only 1 of 2 elevators working and the 1 that was functioning wasn’t at 100%. In order to go up or down, you have to press “3” and then your floor number. So taking the elevator required stopping on the third floor each and every time. It became inconvenient and frustrating by the end of our stay.

I spend over 120 nights a year in a hotel for business. I am rarely overwhelmed by how awesome a hotel is. This Homewood Suites far exceeded my expectations. They got everything right and offered so many little extra things that made the stay wonderful. I arrived on a Wednesday which is the ‘Welcome Home Wednesday social.” This is where you can pour your own beer and wine for free. The room was huge, clean and had been recently updated. The bed was raised to provide storage under it for large suitcases. Even the breakfast impressed me with a breakfast burrito bar that featured pulled pork. The muffins came from a real bakery and were huge.
The parking was free and plentiful. I even appreciated the ground floor rooms as I despise waiting for an elevator.
We had a lovely experience here! We stayed on the 5th floor. We had a queen size bed , two televisions, a kitchenette, bathtub, and large sink. You can sign into your Netflix, disney plus and apple tv. The free shuttle is very convenient, sign up the day before as seats can fill up. but if you plan on staying until park closing you may need to uber back. If you do uber, i HIGHLY reccommend you schedule a ride for when you leave the parks, it is SO hard to get one otherwise!!! The complimentary breakfast buffet is AMAZING. I only suggest that you guys add more fruit to it. I was dying for melon and berries by the end of my stay.
The cleaning staff does an amazing job!
My only complaints are as follows:
-One working elevator, that sounds a bit rickety. Only 5 people are allowed at one time.
- the water pressure is veeeery very weak. Makes it difficult to get clean.
- i did see some ants in the bathroom several days near the end of my stay.Nothing to really freak out over, they were small and not more than 3 or 4 at a time. But i see from other reviews this is not an isolated occurrance. So maybe address this?
- our bathroom door sticks very badly. Was afraid i was shut in more than once.
not provided in case anyone is wondering: razors, toothbrushes or paste, floss, deodorant, feminine products, combs, etc.
Provided are: hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Dish pod for the dishwasher, sink sponge, and dishsoap. Dust cloths, iron and board, safe, hangers,

We had a great stay our trip was relatively short, but the hotel offered everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. We didn’t use the transfer shuttles to Universal, but we chose this hotel because of its excellent amenities — the 24-hour gym, complimentary breakfast, pool, and basketball court were all big pluses.
One thing I didn’t see mentioned in other reviews: if you want to use the basketball court, just ask the front desk — they’ll provide a basketball!
The complimentary breakfast was a highlight. There was a nice variation from day to day, which kept things interesting. We especially loved the breakfast tacos — one morning featured shredded chicken and the next had pulled pork, both delicious options.
The facility was very clean and well-maintained. A special shout-out to Nadia, one of the housekeepers, who was an absolute ray of sunshine. Every morning she greeted us so warmly with, “Good morning, have the most wonderful beautiful day.” Her positive energy truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchenette, but it’s a great added value for longer stays. The pull-out couch wasn’t the most comfortable, but it served its purpose and honestly, we weren’t in the room much anyway!
Overall, this Homewood Suites was great: friendly staff, great amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Universal area!
