I normally just drop the keys and do an express check-out. Do not do that here! You may find unauthorized charges, billed by the hotel, upon checkout.
I checked out this morning and found a Parking charge and affiliated taxes for the charge upon checkout. No employee ever issued me a parking pass and I explained to the front desk employee upon check-in that I did not have a vehicle. The employee I dealt with at check-in was not in uniform, had no name tag, and gave no indication that they were an actual employee here other than the fact that she was behind the front desk when she came back to the desk from being away.
The front desk employee, on the morning of checkout reversed the charge but be forewarned, they are unprofessional here and you will want to look for unauthorized charges to your credit cards!!!

Front-desk staff wasn't friendly except the person who was available during our check-in on 28th Dec 2025. There is a $15 per day self-parking charge but no one manages parking. One of the days we came back around 9:30 PM and parking was almost full. There were lot of cars parked in-between 2 parking spots occupying multiple parking spots and we had to park very far towards the another hotel next door. When we highlighted this issue to front-desk, we were told that security will be notified but no action was taken and it was the same situation on the second day. Room was very dirty full of visible dust and rotten fruits under the bed. We were promised call back from manager. It has been more than a week we checked out but still have not received call back from Hotel or the manager (Jennifer & someone else). Upon reaching out to hotel front desk they just said manager has not reviewed your complain yet and can't do anything.

Very disappointing experience here. IHG website notes this property is renovated; I would describe my room as a failed renovation (see multiple photos). First, they drilled holes into the glass shower door and never put a handle in and bolted the door into place. The other door into the shower sticks and will open all the way on its own.
If you were to fully close the only operational shower door you might get stuck in the shower stall. There is no interior handle for the shower door, though, so it is unlikely you would be able to get the door closed entirely. There are also several other issues in the room.
The TV’s may have been upgraded to smart televisions, however, 2 employees have stated that none of the TV’s on property are connected to the WIFI so you will not to be able to use any apps on the TV.
I also could not find a setting that would allow me to stream to the TV from a device. In the living area the coffee table extends upward so you can dine from the sofa but it would not go back down again. Also, the refrigerator in the room was leaking upon check-in.
Whether weekend or on weekdays, no manager displays their name on the sign corporate has designed for them to do so. Front desk employees might be in uniform or they may be dressed in their own clothes (as was the case during my check-in on the afternoon of Friday, January 9; they also will not be at the desk periodically, throughout the day, causing you to wait for them to return in a line of other guests also waiting.
On the morning of Saturday, January 10, I had a maintenance call put in for issues in the room and approximately a half hour later maintenance arrived. AC appeared to be working from thermostat at check-in but no longer works as of the following morning and the air conditioning must be controlled from the unit on the wall.
Maintenance came and was able to get the coffee table back down, however, was unable to get the table completely down to its original placement; the worker provided no instruction on how to do so. He also said AC “only work” and was pointing to wall unit. Therefore, you should know that the thermostat will not operate your air-conditioning. Also, the maintenance employee made some adjustments to the in-room refrigerator.

What a let down. First we arrive and there's no one at the front desk. Literally had to call out for someone and to charge during New Years Eve $300 for the 2 queen room when it's normally $135 a night is a rip off. Mind you, once there we're told our cards won't work at midnight since it's supposedly a new year so we'll need to go to the front desk to get a new card....BS!! What an inconvenience. I selected this hotel because it utilizes Seaworld's name to get customers to stay there. They don't offer shuttles hourly like front desk stated the night before I arrived, when I called to confirm. We had to get an Uber. If you plan to go to the park in the evening...there's no shuttle. Don't let them distract you from staying here. We came back from seaworld after celebrating the new year and stopped at the front desk....the lady at the desk was being rude the to gentleman ahead of me because when getting out new "new year" keys instead of giving you 2, they were only giving us 1 and she said that's all they can do for now. PATHETIC!! Then when it was my turn, she said if your keys don't work once you get to your room, use the elevator phone and call us....WHAT? The security guy was there when she was handing me the new keys. Well then I proceed to head to my room, I notice the security guy getting into the same elevator...coincidentally 2 people were waiting on him to open their room since these new year keys weren't working, I was already walking to my room and once I got there...SAME ISSUE...my key wasn't working and he sees me and is like.."your keys won't till tomorrow morning"...and proceeds to open it. What??? So she lied and he was there and knew my key wasn't going to work. They were probably doing this purposely to see who was coming in or out!! But they shouldn't inconvenience good customers like this. I was so frustrated....I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN...LIKE EVER!! Holiday Express even with upgrades, doesn't make you appealing...Your staff are rude, lazy and liars!!!

Rooms are clean and staff are kind. Normally this would warrant a 5* review.
However, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel purely based on cost as it is so unreasonable compared to other Holiday Inns I've stayed at across the country and even in the neighborhood.
The room fee is competitive.
However, their pet fee is $150 vs $75 at a Holiday Inn within 5 min drive (Universal Studios).
They also charge $15/night for parking while other hotels in the area offee free parking given that everyone is driving into the area to visit the parks.
I hope this helps save others some funds in a time when folks are looking to vacation but have affordability on their minds.
