The ONLY good thing here was the location, the room was musty smelling and NOT clean, zero ventilation in the bathroom so the walls were basically rotting to the point the towel rack actually fell all on its own and hit my husband. The room was over priced considering the bathroom was so small you couldn't open the door past the toilet, the "privacy" signs for the doors are blatantly ignored and not even for the purpose of cleaning. Our "privacy" sign was removed from our door only for the trash to be left full and the beds unmade. Someone clearly entered our room for their own personal reasons which is VERY unsettling. A $50 "resort fee" is mandatory because they give you free wifi and shuttles (such a joke considering not everyone needs shuttles and even McDonald's gives free wifi, and this place is FAR from a resort) on top of a $100 deposit which was claimed to be returned at the time of checkout, and was not. So overall I paid way more than I should've for a room that was actually so disappointing that I will NEVER consider another Best Western in any state, ever. DO NOT BOOK HERE THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND PUT YOU IN A ROOM THAT MAKES YOUR SKIN CRAWL.

I am a frequent traveler with groups for Disney and Universal, and I refuse to stay anywhere else! The staff at the Best Western Orlando Gateway Hotel is simply amazing. I always look forward to interacting with Luciana at the front desk; she is an absolute joy. Tracey, Don, Luciana, and the entire team consistently go above and beyond to ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the food is delicious. The hotel also features a convenient on-site store offering snacks (chips, sandwiches, cakes), beverages, and other necessities. I highly recommend this hotel!

My first experience at a Best Western was great! Luciana at the front desk was warm and welcoming and very insightful. I was stuck for another night in Orlando because of the blizzard in NY and was able to take advantage of the hot tub despite the 50 degree Florida chill. The gym is a step up from usual hotel gyms, featuring a cable machine and lots of free weights. Located right next to Universal Endless Summer Resort and close to Universal Studios. Would definitely stay again!

I recently stayed at Best Western from February 21–22, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. To begin with, the rate I was charged did not align with what was advertised online. The price difference was significant, and I felt completely blindsided upon checkout. We had requested early check-in due to attending a funeral in Orlando at 5:00 PM that Saturday. No one followed up with us regarding room availability, and we were told nothing was available until 3:30 PM. When we arrived at 3:30 PM, a room was suddenly available, but the lack of communication added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. The front desk associate, Laura, was not pleasant and appeared unwilling to listen to any concerns. The interaction felt dismissive rather than service-oriented. The room itself had several issues. The AC was not blowing cold air, and the water temperature was unacceptable — we had to let the shower run for nearly 10 minutes just to get warm water. Additionally, I strongly advise against booking a “water view” room. The so-called view included a dumpster, parking lot, and basketball court, with only a very small glimpse of the pool. Being charged extra for this felt misleading and not accurately represented. When we raised our concerns with the manager, Luciana, we were told nothing could be done. After contacting customer relations, we were informed that the manager stated she had offered to waive resort fees and provide complimentary breakfast — which was never offered to us. Had that been presented, there would have been no need to escalate the matter. As a Best Western member, this experience was especially disappointing. While the location is convenient, the pricing discrepancies, lack of customer service, leadership response, and room maintenance issues made this stay incredibly frustrating. We were already in town for a funeral, and dealing with these additional problems was unnecessary and exhausting. I would not recommend this property based on our experience.

Very disappointed with my stay February 21–22, 2026. I was quoted one price and told I would receive a water view room. When I arrived, the price was different and my room overlooked the back of the building — no water view at all. On top of that, 7,000 of my rewards points were used for a room that was not what I was promised. Furthermore, upon contacting Property Manader Luciano about issues she was unprofessional and did not help issue. Also , staff employee Laura print to my arrival she couldn't answer my question regarding my stay .I had to run water for 10 m I. To only get Luke warm water and ac in toom was not getting cold . I have year passes and am returning this coming week of 28th of February, but n I will and recommend anyone not to stay here. This was frustrating and not what I expected. I hope management makes this right.
