If you reason for booking here is as the shuttle, do yourself a favor and skip it! When I called I was told the shuttle had left a few minutes ago and was coming here. I have waited 55 minutes so far, and still no shuttle. I have called 3 times, I’m told the same answer. I don’t suggest you book this if the shuttle was an important factor!

My friend recommended this hotel so I thought I would receive the same top notch experience.
One of the reasons I booked this hotel is because of the proximity to the airport and that a shuttle was included. Two of my mixed experiences had to do with the shuttle experience. Upon arrival at the airport I called the front desk and was told I needed to make my way down to B4. I was at the other end so I rushed over as I was told the shuttle would be arriving soon. I rushed down to B4 and waited about 30 minutes before I called back asking where the shuttle was and was told that it would still be awhile because there was a 10am pickup at the hotel. I asked why I wasnt told that the first time I called as that would of been good to know. 5 minutes later a shuttle shows up. I said to the driver I was told he would be at least another 25 minutes. He just shrugged.
When I arrived I was told there were no rooms available yet but I could leave my luggage. I said great amd asked how they would let me know when a room would be available. I was told they would call me. A few hours go by and I decided that I had wasted enough time wandering around and went back to the hotel. I asked if a room was now available given it was now 1:30pm and he said yes. I mentioned I didnt recieve the call that I was told I would receive and the response was, that's unfortunate.
I booked a shuttle back to the airport for today the night before for 8am. I was sitting in front of the hotel since 7:40am. Around 8am I see the shuttle drive by but didnt stop. I went in to the front desk and asked if the shuttle was picking up somewhere else first. When he called the drive he said no he was on his way to the airport. The response from front desk was I can just wait for the next one. I ended up calling Lyft because I knew they were at least reliable.
The room itself was great. The breakfast was decent but the overall service was a bit disappointing.

**Avoid this hotel if you’re relying on the “free” airport shuttle.
It took over 1.5 hours from our first call to actually arriving at the hotel. Every time we called, we were told “20 minutes.” When the shuttle finally showed up, the driver made us wait while he finished a 15-minute personal phone call before leaving the airport.
When we raised the issue, both the driver and manager justified it by saying the shuttle is “free,” and that if we wanted better service we should take an Uber or Lyft next time. That response tells you everything.
Rooms were fine. Breakfast was average. But there are plenty of other hotels nearby without experiencing this headache.
You have been warned! Book elsewhere if timely airport transportation matters to you.

Alex, Pasqual, and Cristal at the front desk were professional, friendly, and extremely helpful with any questions we had and any requests we had regarding the room. The housekeeping staff were also excellent. Our room was always clean with plenty of towels and clean bedding. Shout out to Loreli. Everyone we encountered left a very positive impression, including breakfast staff (shout out to Jennie). We would gladly return and recommend the hotel to others.

I recently checked out of Avid Hotel and had an extremely disappointing experience. When I approached the front desk to check out, the representative, Crystal, took my room keys and informed me that I was “good to go.” I requested a receipt and was told it would be emailed to me. I never received an email, and to my surprise, I received an app notification the following day asking if I would like to check out.
During this interaction, Crystal had earbuds in and was engaged in a personal phone call while assisting customers. Additionally, I requested the airport shuttle and waited approximately 20 minutes. I repeatedly asked Crystal for updates and was told the shuttle was still at the airport picking up passengers — even as it was visibly pulling into the parking lot. When the shuttle finally arrived, the driver stated she had not been notified that anyone was waiting and was preparing to clock out. She locked the van and walked away, stating, “I’m done.” We were forced to wait for another driver and nearly missed our flight.
This experience demonstrated a serious lack of communication and professionalism. Improved customer service standards and stronger employee work ethic are clearly needed. Due to this experience, this will be my last stay at Avid Hotel.
