  Stayed 2 nights. Very clean,quiet, and the beds and pillows are super comfy. This hotel is very nice

  If you want to hear every door slam all night long, banging from people and kids running and talking up and down the halls and stairs, guests in neighboring rooms, and every move from the floor above you so you do not get a restful night sleep - then this is the place for you! Even during the day, if you had to rest, you will not be able to because of the banging and chatter of the cleaning people. There is not a place you can't turn around in this hotel to see problems and no one seems to care about it. They do the bare minimum to keep it going. It is also across the street from a hospital - so be prepared for sirens and helicopter noise through the crap windows and walls they have. P.S. Make sure to immediately check your bed for hairs and stains as soon as you get your room!

  Very clean and nice hotel. The breakfast bar was fully stocked and kept up very well. The public trash cans were kept up (emptied and wiped down). I will return here in about a month.

  Everything TOPNOTCH, from rooms to service to kitchen. Wonderful experience there at Avid. Went for the 2025 Babe Ruth World Series Under-16, it's great really. I love Avid ❤️❤️👍👍👍

  This was my second stay at the Avid Hotel in Ocala, and unfortunately it was very disappointing compared to my first visit in December 2025, which is why I chose to return. One of the reasons I liked this hotel initially was that it allows pets, making it convenient when I travel with my daughter and our animals. When my daughter and I checked into Room 118, the room had a strong unpleasant odor and clearly had not been cleaned thoroughly. This was very different from my experience during my first stay. After noticing the condition of the room, I immediately went back to the front desk to inform the staff member. She explained that several cleaning staff had walked out earlier that day. While I understand that staffing issues can happen, it does not change the fact that the room should still meet basic cleanliness standards before being assigned to guests. The condition of the room was unacceptable. It smelled bad, appeared poorly cleaned, and I even saw a roach crawling in the room. I documented everything and took pictures for my records. The following morning during checkout, I spoke with another front desk staff member and explained the situation again. I was told that the general manager was currently on leave, but that my information would be placed on her desk or in her computer so she could contact me when she returned. As of March 4, 2026, I have not received any phone call or email regarding this matter. I am very disappointed because after my first stay in December, I had started to consider Avid Hotel as my “home away from home” when traveling with my pets. The lack of follow-up or communication about this issue leaves me feeling that the concern was not taken seriously.
