  I woke up last Sunday morning to a $112 charge from Candlewood Suites in Fort Walton Beach, FL — a hotel I’ve never even heard of, let alone stayed at. I live over 500 miles away, so I immediately called the hotel to clear up what I assumed was a simple mistake. The first woman I spoke with was polite and understanding. She told me she needed to contact her manager and would call me back once she had an answer since the charge came through Expedia. I appreciated her professionalism and patience, even though I never received a follow-up call. After giving it a few days, I called again on Thursday to check on the situation. This time, a completely different experience. The woman who answered the phone was unbelievably rude — she talked over me multiple times, raised her voice, and even accused me of lying about the situation. I tried to explain that I had already spoken with someone from their staff earlier in the week, but she refused to listen. It was one of the worst customer service interactions I’ve ever had. I understand mistakes happen, but the way this employee handled the situation was unacceptable. Rather than helping resolve a clear billing error, she made the process stressful and humiliating. No paying customer (or even a victim of an incorrect charge) should ever be treated this way. I’m now disputing the charge through my bank, which I didn’t want to do, but clearly there was no other choice. For future travelers: if this is the level of professionalism you can expect from this location, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The lack of accountability and basic respect here is appalling.

  My wife and I paid for the room. While we were here we stayed in the room and it had bugs crawling on the counters and the sink disposal was nasty smelling they werent clean and they told me what I paid wasnt 660 dollars for 5 nights including the 150 dollar deposit with the transaction on my phone oh we gotta go to the cameras before we can give the deposit back. Take heed people. Im not a paid person for anything just wanted to put it out there for others cause i share my bad experiences

  Ladies and gentlemen welcome to a two star and you have complimentary gym complimentary coffee complimentary laundry and you are in sandestin Florida your two miles away from everything that's awesome. please stay here this is a great place to stay you're off the beach and you're not paying inflated pieces. A little too far to walk to the beach. Close enough to bike there. Next to three restaurants.
