  🏨🌴🏊‍♀️🎶🌊 A staple in downtown Miami culture, this spot takes its cues from the 80s Miami look while keeping things modern where it matters. I got a chance to stay here during the Miami Film Festival, and what really stands out is the walkability and location convenience. You’re within easy reach of dining, events, and the waterfront, making it incredibly simple to get around without needing a car. The onsite amenities add to that ease, and while the windows are a bit thin, they don’t take away from the views of the downtown skyline and the Miami River, which still come through nicely.

  Just saw a video of Mr. Cervera who is completely wrong! Dogs that are trained for specific tasks like the one needed for Erik, are allowed to be off leash to perform their tasks. "Under Florida Statute 413.08 and the ADA, service dogs must be leashed, harnessed, or tethered UNLESS such restraints interfere with the dog's work or the handler's disability prevents their use. If off-leash, the dog must remain under the handler's voice control, signals, or other effective means at all times" Very unprofessional.

  This was our anniversary trip, and it turned out to be one of the best anniversaries we’ve had! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the customer service was outstanding. A special thank you to Mr. Ashley at the front desk and Manager Kevaunte—they were both amazing and made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was extremely clean, the view was fantastic and the service all around was exceptional. We didn’t find a single thing wrong during our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience. Excellent all around!

  We had a wonderful stay at the InterContinental. We stayed for 2 nights in a king room with club access. The room was large and clean with a great shower (loved the water pressure) and a BEAUTIFUL view. The attendants in the club room were very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and happy hours there. The spa is a tad small but it was really relaxing. Best of all the location was perfect for restaurants in downtown or Brickell. I do think that $71 a night for valet with no option to self park is extreme so we may reconsider bringing a car next tiem but we can't wait to go back!!

  Rating: 3.5/5 Stars (One for every thin millimeter of drywall) The Intercontinental Miami is a bit like a high-end relationship: it looks gorgeous, the bed is fantastic, but the communication issues are real. Here is the breakdown of our "staycation/shared-room-with-strangers" experience. The "Parenting by Proxy" Experience Let’s address the elephant in the room—or rather, the screaming children in the room next door. It wasn't just that they were loud; it was like we were accidentally cast as the supporting characters in their personal Broadway debut of Lord of the Flies. • The Walls: I’m convinced the walls are made of high-quality tissue paper. I didn't just hear the kids; I feel like I helped raise them. • The Rescue: Huge shoutout to the front desk. They sent someone up to "negotiate a ceasefire" (aka tell them to pipe down), and it actually worked. Service: 1, Tiny Terrors: 0. The Perks (The "Hit" Part) • The View: We had an ocean view that was so stunning I almost forgot I knew the life story of the toddlers next door. • The Bed: Pure heaven. If I could have stayed in that bed forever, I would have. It was like sleeping on a cloud that doesn't judge you for your life choices. • Location: If you’re heading to the port, this is the spot. Plus, Whole Foods is a short walk away, which is perfect for grabbing a $14 asparagus water or the three bottles of sunscreen you inevitably forgot. The Great Mysteries of the Intercontinental "Why is there a water station on the first floor?" Seriously, I’m asking for a friend. Is it a social experiment? Do they think we only get thirsty when we’re near the lobby? Nothing says "luxury" like hiking down thirty flights of stairs to get a cup of H2O like a thirsty traveler in the Sahara. The Verdict It’s a great hotel if you want a beautiful view and a comfortable sleep—provided you bring industrial-grade earplugs or pray that your neighbors don't have children with the lung capacity of opera singers. Would I stay again? Yes. But I’m bringing a soundproof tent to set up on top of that glorious bed.
