    We are giving a four star review overall based on the high level of customer service and location. The exceptional customer service was noticed when we called a week before our stay to confirm transportation and continued until check out. The hiring, training and coaching must be commended. We travel a lot and have never experienced this level of service from reception, front desk, maintenance and shuttle driver. They all deserve praise. The view of the lagoon upon entering the hotel is lovely. The check in process was smooth, we arrived early, our bags were kept secure while we explored the area.

    My biggest complaint about Hilton and for that matter all hotel chains, is hiring workers who can’t communicate with their guests. If you are going to work with the public they should speak and understand English. I shouldn’t have to speak into their or my phone to get answers.

    The breakfast was amazing, but the housekeeping was very poor. This was the worst hotel experience my family and I have ever had. Ironically, we stayed here before and had a much better experience, but this time the housekeeping service was extremely disappointing. Upon check-in, we immediately noticed food left on a chair, stains on the carpet, and the fridge that hadn’t been cleaned properly. During our stay, housekeeping failed to make the bed neatly and overlooked basic cleaning tasks. The overall cleanliness and attention to detail were far below expectations compared to our previous visit. Additionally, when we requested fresh towels at the front desk, they were handed to us with bare hands not bagged, sanitized, or handled hygienically. This raised serious concerns about cleanliness and guest care.

    As a Diamond member, I've never been to a hotel that makes you wait until 4pm to check in. As a matter of fact, the first Homewood Suites (Downtown/Brickell) we stayed at on this trip, moved us to a room that was already cleaned when we arrived. That is service, not what we experienced at Homewood Suites Miami/Airport. This might not have been such an issue, but we just got off a cruise and arrived at 9:30am. I was not expecting to have a room at that time. I just feel the wait until 4pm was unnecessary and something I have never really experienced with Diamond status at Hilton. The rooms are spacious and have a stove top, refrigerator, dishes, and a dishwasher. They also have gas grills. The pool area was nice and we sat there for a couple of hours enjoying the breeze and the view of the lagoon. You can see the airport from the front of the hotel, which offers an airport shuttle. There are several restaurants just a short walk away as well. Breakfast was really good with a large variety of options.
