Easy , close to airport with shuttle services. Staff very welcoming and friendly, even had Togo breakfast bags for us early in the am.
Also within a block, Wendy's, Burger King, gas stations, Publix , Burlington coat factory, and a liquor store.
"Just don't order pizza from the flyers found in your room, disgusting, watery pizza and bonus was charged a different price than advertised on flyer. "
An excellent Hotel for those cruising from the Miami Cruise Port. A convenient location with a Walgreens, Publix and eating establishments nearby which are all easily walkable. The hotel was very clean with a friendly staff. Rooms are updated, spacious and comfortable. The pool area has both a bean bag game and connect four game for activities as well as a sitting area, pool and hot tub. Breakfast area was clean and well maintained by staff with plenty of tables. We will certainly stay here again in the future.
Location !! Busy area but with lot of stores , CVS, WALGREENS, Publix just across the street, Burlington a few blocks from the Hotel . The room was ok but they need an update, bathroom small and no changes since my visit on 2009 ! Room size with two beds was fine , mini fridge and microwave, they also have a coffee maker . Breakfast was ok and very attentive and nice people ready to help . Front Desk people were very unkind they never have a smile or take time to answer very simple questions, rude and they treated us as “robots” . If you need fresh towels you have to ask for them at Ft Desk also they clean the room only after the third day of your stay . Anyway the location was perfect but they need an immediately update , they need to make changes to be a Hilton . They also have a pool ( small ) but ok and we didn’t use . We need to return as we have problems with our flight and the Hotel was AVAILABLE from October 10TH to October 13Th at Hilton Honors ( I’m a Member ) , Booking , Agoda etc but we prefer to go directly to the Hotel as it was late and we were very close to the Hampton . Jose at Ft Desk told me they were “
Sold out “ I show him it was AVAILABLE and he and he insist that they don’t have any room …. He said “ if you make the reservation do it but we don’t have available rooms …. How can be available rooms at all the booking pages and at Hilton ?? He didn’t mind when I ask him if he can take a look for another Hilton just to make sure we can book something when it was a Friday at 8 PM ! Jose !!!! He was the most unfriendly and rude employee. Great hotel for a quick overnight stop in Miami before a cruise, with the excellent level of cleaniness and service expected from Hampton Inn. Free breakfast, fee-based cruise shuttle and free airport shuttle makes this so convenient and stress free. Also close to great places like Downtown Doral, Coral Gables and other non traditional Miami places to visit if you have a car. Gated parking for a fee provided peace of mind.

⭐️⭐️ Mixed but Mostly Disappointing Stay
I had a mixed experience at the Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon, but unfortunately, most of it leaned toward the negative side. The location is advertised as “great for walking,” but I wouldn’t agree — it’s not the most pedestrian-friendly area.
Around the pool area, the games were missing equipment or broken, and when we requested pool towels, we were told they’d be brought up but no one ever followed through. The hotel rooms had an unpleasant smell, and the tables and counters were sticky. The hallways were honestly shocking — dirty, with food on the floor, paint chips scattered around, and even a pile of old French fries sitting in a corner.
Due to the issues we faced, we were offered a refund, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, all nearby hotels were sold out, so the front desk staff kindly moved us to one of their suites instead. That gesture really helped make the situation a bit better.
On a positive note, I want to give credit to the front desk team, especially Jose, who went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Their professionalism and kindness really stood out amid the other issues.
Overall, the customer service was a bright spot, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel need serious improvement before I’d consider staying again.
