Been here two days so far and have one more day....we leave our room before noon each day and come back to a no service, no clean towels or bed made...nothing. We also have a Keurig but no water to make coffee or tea. Called the front desk and they said we have to ask at the front desk in the mornings. We are not use to staying at a hotel that doesn't come and clean the rooms while we are gone or where there isn't at least water bottles to make coffee...we weren't told of any ice machines or water to be found. I would not recommend this location if you are staying more than one day. It seems they cater to cruise people or people who may need an overnight for the airport. Don't bother responding to my review Even Hotel bc you just say the same thing to everyone ..I read your responses.

They overbooked and didn't bother to let us know, so after a 12 hour day of travel we had to Uber to another hotel they placed us at. Thing is, I called on 3 different occasions to let them know our flight was coming in late. Their response was no worries! They said their "shuttle" was going to transport us to the other hotel which was a half hour away; It never showed up. When I asked the girl at the desk for a phone number to the hotel we were being transported to She told me I could Google it and then said bye. She was pretty rude! Granted she's probably dealing with a lot of people in this same situation (according to the Uber driver and the new hotel, this is a common occurrence for them) but it is no reason to be rude. All the reviews you read about lack of customer service and The non-existent shuttle, believe them! Had I known we were going to be misplaced and then sent to another hotel in the middle of the night I would have paid the extra money to stay at a reputable hotel closer to the port. Now we get to pay extra to Uber on top of the extra we paid last night... That would have more than covered the additional money to stay at a decent place closer to the port. Book them at your own risk.

Hotel to avoid at all costs. We booked one night with breakfast included through Booking, which was essential for us as we were leaving very early. At check-in, when confirming the breakfast schedule, we were not informed of any issue or of the need for a breakfast ticket. The next morning, when we tried to have breakfast, we were asked for a ticket that had never been given to us, and there was no staff at reception. Eventually we were allowed to have breakfast after being told they would note the room number and that there was no problem, but afterwards we were forced to pay, claiming that breakfast was not included, despite showing our reservation where it clearly was. We were required to pay in cash, they refused to give us a receipt, and staff mocked us in Spanish, thinking we did not understand, literally saying: “come on, with these two today we’ll reach the target, we’re going to make a fortune.” Booking ruled in our favor and compensated us, but the hotel refused to investigate and neither the hotel nor the IHG chain responded to our complaints. We have seen in other reviews that this is not an isolated case. To make matters worse, I had to recover the security deposit by reversing the charge through my bank, as they refused to refund it. We strongly recommend avoiding this hotel and any hotel belonging to the IHG group (Even, Holiday Inn, Crowne, Regent, etc.), as the chain itself disengaged and was not even willing to listen to us.

We arrived at Miami Airport feeling immediately confused about the whole hotel‑shuttle situation. Which bay? Which bus? What time? Who knows. Turns out any of the Hotel Shuttle bays will do — we used Bay 4 — and the shuttle seems to appear roughly once an hour. Spotting the right bus is where the real entertainment begins. They all look suspiciously similar, so you’ll need to look out for the EVEN logo and then do whatever it takes to get the driver’s attention: wave enthusiastically, flash your phone torch, or — if you’re feeling bland — show a bit of leg. Apparently there’s a website that tracks the shuttle, but we never found it. The driver, however, was brilliant. Friendly, helpful, and frankly should be straight to reception. He grabbed our bags, and we did the delicate UK‑to‑US tipping convention , never quite sure whether we’d been generous or accidentally insulting. Check‑in was… mixed. The chap booking in next to our lady sounded cheerful and helpful. Our turn came, and the lady simply took our name, card, and passport, handed over a key, and said “Room XXX.” No directions to the lifts, no mention of breakfast, and — as we later discovered — no breakfast chitty, which we apparently should have been given. The room itself was clean and had everything we expected. The design was a bit odd: not much internal lighting, and with the blinds open we were slightly worried about traumatising passers‑by should we wander around wearing nothing but underpants on our head. Breakfast was a sit‑down affair. Present your chitty (once you’ve managed to obtain one) and the lovely lady running the show will sort you out with a American cooked breakfast. Our return shuttle driver was another cheerful character — not the same one as before, but equally upbeat. Overall: A clean, modern hotel with a good breakfast and excellent shuttle drivers. The check‑in lady, however, could do with spending a couple of days shadowing the shuttle team.

So let me say this with all certainty, I have never in all my years of traveling experienced anything like this place. To start, my friend and I waited for the shuttle from the airport for way over the 1/2 hour they claimed it would arrive. According to them, it runs every 1/2 hour on the hour. After waiting forever, I called the hotel and was told she could see that the driver would be rounding the corner in a minute because he’d been on break. I’m sorry but I’d been standing in the heat waiting to ensure I didn’t miss this person. Any reason the message couldn’t say the shuttle arrives every 1/2 hour on the hour except for 1:00 - 2:00 or whatever time the driver takes a break so folks will know when to look out for him? So, the driver arrives and my friend pushes our luggage to the back, and the driver tells him to put the luggage in the van because he just ate! Shuttle drivers all over the world handle your baggage for you and for that we tip nicely. This guy however can’t be bothered because he was full. Unbelievable. Fast forward to the check-in process. We were early so the hotel stored our luggage (no tags or anything so just pray everyone who checks into the EVEN is honest) and waited in the restaurant behind the check-in desk. As rooms became available, the check-in folks came to the restaurant, called the name of the individual(s), checked them in and gave them room keys. This process went on until well after 3:00 pm. which was the official check in time. Eventually my friend and I became concerned. None of the folks who were sitting with us previously were still in the restaurant. I went to the front desk and asked the person at the desk to check on my room. Initially she said would as soon as she finished with the person she was with. No worries. There was a guy who came to stand by me because he said he was in the same boat. Apparently we were “overlooked.” The girl at the front desk said she’d help both of us. A random woman in line said, “Well that’s not fair!” To which I suggested she mind her own business. Then the person at the desk changed her mind and told us to go wait in line…a very long line that consisted of those who had NOT been sitting around for hours. I mean seriously? That sound fair? I think not. I went back to sit in the restaurant area thinking surely one of the human beings at the front desk had taken at least one customer service class between them and would come either bring my room key, apologize for the wait, or God help me….maybe both. So I waited. Meanwhile the gentleman from earlier re-entered the restaurant with keys in his hand. My friend went to speak with him and came back to tell me he was going to the desk because this had become ridiculous. It had now been almost three hours. He came back to tell me there had been a shift change and the two women who had been at the desk were gone. I asked for the name of the manager of this place and asked if by chance he was in on a Sunday. His name is Richard Coyco, general manager and yes he was actually there but no he couldn’t be bothered to speak with a guest who requested his presence and nope, no one was covering for him. I could start explaining how I look versus how every single other person looked who received “good” service. Some people will read this review and think “here they go again” but I really don’t care. I am not that person who looks for differences in people to explain poor behavior but some things are obvious. How do I know? I’d welcome you to spend a day or two with someone who looks different from you and experience the overt and covert ways people express their biases even when they don’t know they are. Sometimes I keep it moving. Not this time. I am here spending discretionary money and CHOSE this place. How about treating EVERY customer like their money is green and assume they worked hard for it and didn’t have to choose this place. Not only will I never return but everyone I know who cruises or just comes to south FL for a vaca will never stay here. Everyone with a dollar has an option. Learn that.
