Nahomy is exceptional. The rooms are not. The walls are paper thin. You can hesr every conversation, alarm, cough, AND MORE. The rooms are small and not worth the price at all, you are paying for the name only. And the lobby. And the pool. You are not paying for a good room experience. The bathroom is very small. There were stains on carpet, electrical outlet covers coming off, bathroom shower control broken. The staff are friendly and exceptional. The prices and the room are not. Nahomy is the only reason im giving it 3 stars - she was 5 star and the rooms are 1.

I am a loyal DoubleTree guest and have written many positive reviews over the years. That stops here. This stay was an absolute nightmare from start to finish, entirely due to poor communication, misinformation, and management failure. Before arriving, I did my due diligence. On December 11, I called the hotel to confirm whether there would be any charges for shipping packages to the property. I was explicitly told no, as long as the packages arrived within three days of my arrival. Based on that assurance, I shipped my items. When I arrived on December 26, several packages were “missing” and I was told they were at a UPS store. After running back and forth (including returning to my room to get ID), I was then told I would have to pay $50+ to retrieve them. This directly contradicted what I was told when I called ahead to avoid this exact situation. It got worse. I never spoke directly with the manager on duty, Clem. Instead, Nahomy at the front desk relayed what Clem told her. Nahomy informed me that Clem said he would personally go to UPS himself and get the packages released without me having to pay. Clem did not come out. He did not speak to me. He did not handle the issue he promised to resolve. Instead, Nahomy, who is not a manager, was put in an extremely awkward and unfair position and sent to UPS herself to try to fix something management promised. Unsurprisingly, UPS refused to release the packages without payment. Let me be clear: this is not about the money. This is about: Being given incorrect information upfront Being given false reassurance A manager on duty refusing to address a guest directly A non-manager staff member being placed in an impossible situation As if that wasn’t enough, the issues continued. Because I had back-to-back reservations, I had to check out and re-check in for the second night. I was explicitly assured that: I would stay in the same room Housekeeping would be informed not to enter, since all my belongings would remain inside While I was out shopping, I received a call from the front desk saying housekeeping reported that all my belongings were still in the room and asking me to confirm whether I even had a second reservation. I was absolutely stunned. I told them I should not need to provide anything. I had already paid the deposit for the second night, and the hotel should have my information on file. Only then did the staff member actually search properly, find the reservation, and apologize profusely for the mistake. That said, I want to be fair. Pedro stepped in later and genuinely tried to rectify the situation. He listened, acknowledged the misinformation, explained what went wrong, ensured I could remain in the same room, arranged compensation, and followed through with professionalism and empathy. His effort was the only reason this situation did not escalate further, and he deserves credit for trying to clean up a mess that was not of his making. Unfortunately, even Pedro’s efforts cannot undo how badly this was handled overall. This entire experience was chaotic, stressful, and completely unnecessary. The communication at this hotel is terrible, management is disengaged, and guests are left to deal with the fallout. I would rather pay more money and stay somewhere like the EB Hotel than ever deal with this level of incompetence again. This was hands down the worst DoubleTree experience I have ever had, and it has completely changed my view of this brand.

If I could give 0 stars I would. After a wonderful Christmas cruise my family had the misfortune of staying here for one night. One night too many. I'm a faithful Hilton customer and my experience until last night is that DoubleTrees are typically some of the nicer properties Hilton owns. This hotel's lobby is very nice. I got familiar with it in the five and a half hours we hung out in it.🤦🏼‍♀️ No, we couldn't do an early check-in. No, they had no area for us to put our luggage so we could explore the area. Only option was 4pm check-in supposedly. But then, miraculously, we start to see people check in at 3pm. I go up and lo and behold 3pm they start check-in like pretty much every other hotel. We get into the Bates Motel elevator, and get off on our floor. Disgusting carpet that our luggage wheels sank right into in the hallway.🤢 Surely the rooms will be better, right? Wrong. My room was freezing and no amount of increasing the temperature changed it. Finally shut it all the way off. Gross carpet again, though not so thick. My family's other room had missing electrical receptacle covers, seriously loose electrical sockets, holes in the shower curtain, no extra bedding for the pull out bed. They DO have nice, big TV's that work with the remote control feature in Hilton's app, so there's that. Then breakfast. We go down and the lady can't find me. After I show her in the app that YES, I stayed there last night, she informs me breakfast costs $25. I don't mind paying $25 for breakfast. But this was scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, some melon, a few cereals, and that's it. I'm used to getting breakfasts like that for free from Hilton. Shuttle to airport was free and fast. It was the best part of our stay!!! All in all, I do not recommend this hotel in case you didn't catch that.

DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Our stay at the DoubleTree Miami Airport was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Before even arriving, we attempted for over an hour to call the hotel to confirm whether there was an airport shuttle. Every single call went straight to voicemail—no one answered, no option to speak to a human. We eventually found online that the shuttle supposedly runs every half hour. We waited…and waited…and waited. No shuttle ever came. Because of this, we were forced to take a $45 taxi to a hotel that is literally located on airport property—completely unacceptable. It only got worse upon arrival. We had booked the Presidential Suite four months in advance, only to be told at check-in that it was “already booked” and that their system somehow double-booked the room. Instead of the suite we paid for and planned on, we were downgraded to a standard King room with no meaningful compensation. That room had its own issue: the air conditioner never cooled the room all night, making it extremely uncomfortable and impossible to rest. To “make up for it,” we were offered free breakfast. Unfortunately, even that was a letdown. We went down at 6:00 AM, when breakfast was advertised to be open, only to be told that the “real breakfast” didn’t start until 7:00–7:15 AM. All that was available was fruit and some scrambled eggs—hardly what was promised. This hotel failed us at every step: communication, transportation, room accommodations, comfort, and basic amenities. This was supposed to be a simple overnight stay before continuing our trip, and instead it turned into one frustration after another. I would strongly advise anyone traveling through Miami Airport to look elsewhere. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had.

We stayed in a room when we arrived Miami and it was nice. We went to the restaurant and the service was HORRIBLE. First we were sitting there for over 15 min. I get it they were busy but then we finally got the waiter's attention, he went to service another couple that got there minutes after we arrived. When we came back from our cruise and got a room at this same hotel, this room was HORRIBLE. The room itself was ok but the A/C didn't put out a temperature around 60/65 degrees. The morning that we were checking out, I went to iron my clothes and the iron was broken. It looked like someone dropped it. The ironing board cover was VERY dirty. It should have been changed months ago. I called to the front desk to get a new iron but NO ONE answered. By this time we are rushing and we went to check out and told the rep about the issues and we didn't get a Sorry for your inconvenience or anything. Oh but we did get 4 HOT cookies for the road. I guess that was our sorry your stay was not good treat. So my advice to Doubletree is UPDATE your hotels. You all make too much money to not update your hotels because the pictures on the website are all LIES. Thank you and have a good day.
