Do not get a day room here! We showed up at 9:30AM the day of our reservation and were told the hotel canceled all day rooms because they were sold out! We wasted our day and money on taxis to go there. They could have informed us in advance so we could make different plans but they never canceled our reservation with Resort Pass, so we were not given notice. In fact, I had to go to the desk a second time because the hotel still hadn’t informed resort pass they canceled our reservation. Then resort pass had to actually reach out themselves because Holiday Inn wasn’t canceling it.

We needed a hotel for a night after our cruise before flying out and this was perfect. The beach is as beautiful as any in miami and it was actually nice and quiet (we were there on a sunday between christmas and new years - so I'd assume that would be a busy time for them).
The rooms are adequate. They were clean and comfy, with some older/outdated bathroom fixtures, but it was fine for our use.
One of the beds was missing a topper blanket and it took over an hour to get one (after several calls to housekeeping wondering what was taking so long). While that was a bit frustrating, the rest of the time the staff were friendly and helpful.
Lastly, the elevators are quite slow. It would also be nice if they could extend the wifi to reach the pool. We could only connect right inside the building or just outside the doors.
Otherwise, great for our purposes.

If I could give this location 10 stars it still wouldn’t be enough. My new wife and I were on our honeymoon, and our initial hotel totally screwed up our reservation bad. We left and came to this location. Haydee was at the reception desk and from the second we spoke to her she made our day better. I told her our situation and that we were on our honeymoon. She was so kind and got us the best hotel room in the hotel. Not to mention the next day the hotel staff brought a full platter of food for us to enjoy and celebrate. They are the best people ever and Haydee went above and beyond to care for us. She is amazing! We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing her again.

We had a very nice stay here but there were a few things worth noting that we did not like.
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, starting with the penthouse floor and we were right below that so we heard quite a bit of the construction. The service elevator was clearly not working since the construction workers were using the guest elevators, of which there were only 2. This made for long wait times for the elevators.
Our room was ready for us immediately upon check in (earlier than normal check in time), which was amazing! And while it was spotlessly clean and had a stunning ocean view, there were noticeable holes in the curtains and shower curtain. There were many signs of wear/tear all over the hotel, making it clear why the renovation was needed.
The pool was NOT heated and this made a huge difference. Despite the 80 degree weather and warm (strong) winds, the water was too cold for me to go in and my kids even took a long time getting used to the water.
The beach staff were very nice and even came over to where the kids were digging in the sand to place an umbrella over them. There were also sand toys for them to play with.
The staff were exceptional. Front desk people were friendly, the cafe staff were amazing, and housekeeping did an amazing job keeping our room clean.
Would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget.

Overall, this is an okay hotel. The ocean view is not worth paying extra. Our ocean view from the 6th floor was mostly obstructed by trees and the windows were quite dirty. We were placed in a room next to a family with a very young child who cried every morning at about 6am. This was a couple’s trip for my girlfriend’s birthday, so we requested a room change even without an ocean view. We were told there could be no room changes aside from an emergency. The next morning, the noise from the crying baby was followed by extremely loud construction noise at 7am happening right outside our room. Once again we approached the front desk and asked for a room change away from the construction, and they told us the construction is happening all around the building’s exterior and they cannot guarantee a quieter room. We were not willing to deal with this for another two nights, so we asked for a refund for the remaining nights and the hotel was kind enough to grant us the refund which I do appreciate. We booked another hotel elsewhere for our last two nights. Overall, not a great experience. The hotel itself is mediocre. The rooms are clean but small and outdated. The pool was a bit dirty, but you couldn’t enjoy it anyway with the brutal construction noise taking place 5 feet away. The breakfast is an extra cost but it was actually pretty good. Most of what you pay for here is the beachfront access. You get wristbands for chairs and umbrellas every day. And they give you a welcome bag with some snacks and waters which is nice. I would not stay here again and probably wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either, but maybe you’ll have a better experience than me. You get what you pay for in Miami Beach!
