Service at breakfast was good. Maria was sweet. First day all the food was cold but Expensive but it’s South Beach . My husband is a platinum priority member . Got there at 9:00 am and didn’t get a room untill 3:30. Our room
Was not what we booked , no free breakfast as booked . Never given our free drink coupons until we had to beg for our free breakfast , which we didn’t get . Bar tender at tiki bar was really great :). I don’t like to complain but it was just pretty disappointing place. Won’t be back . Next cruise back to the Intercontinental or Hilton .

What more can I say .. first time in Miami ..came with family from London who know it well and decided to stay at this Holiday Inn, Miami Beach ocean front hotel. The location is perfect.I spent a couple of nights pre going on to Puerto Rico. Just outside the central bustle of south beach ( we walked down there last night ).
Loved it, Haydee on reception made us feel at home and ensured we maximised our experience with useful tips and information that totally made a difference to our overall experience in the beautiful Miami Beach. We will be back and loved the vibe of the hotel and staff..they were very happy to replenish our water and give fresh beach towels and offer loungers accessible to the beautiful beach. The breakfast was good and the area cool with nice places around to eat and hang out! Will be back

Not worth the money at all. The room was originally supposed to cost $130, after all the fees and crap, it went up to $189. When we checked in they asked for a $50 deposit, but told us they would only be giving us 15 of that back because of the "resort fee". I paid those in the past, but typically you pay those at the time of booking. Our room had a constant drip from the ceiling mounted air conditioner in the entryway. We ended up putting a trash can there to collect all the water so we wouldn't end up charged for the floor being soaking wet. The bathtub had water in between the layers of lamination so it was like walking on a waterbed, you could feel and hear the water in between the layers while you tried to take a shower. The bathtub was clogged with so much hair I could have put together an entire Sasquatch costume for Halloween. The windows had this blue protective film that was peeling off of them, the type of stuff you're normally supposed to peel completely off when you put in a new window. Definitely know where near worth the money. The breakfast buffet, that is usually free at a Holiday inn, and is one of the reasons why I book them, was $30. Absolutely no way I'm paying $60 for a shitty hotel buffet breakfast. Outside of our room, around 9:00 in the morning they started beating on the side of the building like they were trying to rip something down, the sound of verberated through our room like some sort of sonic torture . Then the grinding noises started and continued the rest of the morning. The hotel is right on the beach, like maybe a 2-minute walk, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But those are the only good things about this hotel. Also if you plan on taking a shower you should probably go knock on everyone's door and let them know so they don't flush the toilet. Literally anytime anyone in any room flushed the toilet while I was in the shower I was scolded. Very much not impressed by this hotel, and would have rather stayed at a super 8 roach motel near the airport. My one star review is based completely on the room, the price for value, the ridiculous breakfast cost and noise from the construction right outside of our window. The super friendliness and helpfulness of the staff just couldn't make up for how lousy the room was

I have stayed at this place many, many times prior to going on a cruise and was always very, very happy with their service. However, this past reservation had to be canceled within their 60 day windows due to the fact that I was having surgery.
I know that there are certain rules they have to follow considering pre-existing conditions etc but although mine was preexisting because I was waiting for referrals and doctors appointments. I didn't realize it was a surgical condition until I saw the surgeon 5 weeks after diagnosis and surgery was scheduled another month out. I furnished a doctor's statement about my impending surgery but they wanted a letter saying it had changed gotten etc. Well I couldn't furnish because it hadn't. So now I am out the cost of the room. I just wanted a little flexibility in the rules.
