My party consisted of 4; me, my husband, my cousin and her husband. We stayed here 2 nights pre-cruise and it was simply brilliant. Truly, location is everything. This place is in a prime location (in my opinion). There's a Walgreens around the corner on the very next street with reasonable prices and those necessities you may have forgotten. There's a Starbucks steps away to the left. The beach is just across the street. Amazing location. I love that it's near that end of Ocean Dr. and not at all in the midst of chaos. The staff was very, very friendly. I'd love to specifically mention Guillermo. He was kind and very engaging. TALL Paul though....One. Of. A. Kind. He seems so to be a jack of all trades. It started upon our arrival, at the car, and ended at departure AT THE CAR. He stayed on top of it. What was "it"? Anything. Everything. Whatever we asked for OR needed he provided without hesitation. The only question/s, how many? Or, is this enough? Tall Paul is a true asset to the team. I hope he's there as long as HE wants to be and I hope he is compensated well for all that he does for the the company. He deserves it for sure! Tall Paul, you're doing your family proud 😉🤗🥰☺️. I'd highly recommend HGV Mcalpin Ocean Plaza for a great stay.

- MMMatthew MorrisOct 6, 20255.0This was much more than just a hotel room - we stayed in a suite that included a fully equipped small kitchen and a living room area with a gorgeous view of the beach. Having the kitchen was incredibly convenient and made our stay feel more like home. While some of the interior showed a bit of wear, everything was clean and well-maintained. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable, which made for great nights of sleep after long beach days. The space and amenities more than made up for any minor cosmetic issues. We would definitely stay here again!

- KZKelly ZelnikSep 20, 20253.0We are owners at HGV so we used points to stay in September 2025. The room was nice, definitely a Miami vibe. We went to check in and we were told to go next door for our room. They have two buildings and paying as much as we do monthly for HGV, you would think we could get a room with a view, of the street, ocean, NOT a view of a man in bed in the building next to us! (Not the other HGV building, another hotel next to the HGV Bldg #2, so close we could have asked to borrow TP). There are no amenities in either building. There is also, no one on duty at bldg #2, so you have to walk next door or call if you need anything. I would highly recommend finding another location if you want the true HGV experience.
