  The hotel itself is nice and the location is great. My main issue is the room design. First off, the two queen rooms are tiny. No full length closet and next to no place to put anything. The shower is terrible. There is no door + there is clear glass on the shower and a window looking into the shower area from the main bedroom. Also, no lock on the toilet room and the door slides back open. This room offers ZERO privacy. Extremely overpriced hotel that needs to hire better architects and designers. L

  ★☆☆☆☆ — Deeply Disappointing Stay at the Gale South Beach I had high hopes for the Gale South Beach, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, but this stay left much to be desired from nearly every angle. Let’s start with the room. We booked a standard suite with certain expectations of space and comfort, only to be placed in a room that felt anything but suite-worthy. The square footage was surprisingly cramped, and it was difficult to understand how the property justifies the suite designation. To make matters worse, we discovered ants in the room — not a minor inconvenience when you’re paying suite prices. We promptly notified the front desk and were essentially met with indifference. No follow-up, no visit from housekeeping, no resolution whatsoever. The issue was simply ignored. Speaking of housekeeping, on our final day of the stay, no one came to service the room at all. After being out for nearly ten hours, we returned to an untouched room and notified staff once again. Rather than handling the matter professionally, they attempted to send someone up while we were actively in the room getting ready for the evening — a completely unreasonable response to a situation entirely of their own making. The breakfast vouchers included with our stay were another letdown. The quality of the food was underwhelming, and the wait staff were inattentive despite the dining area being nearly empty. There is simply no excuse for poor service when there are barely any customers to attend to. Finally, the on-site amenities were so lacking that we found ourselves regularly crossing the street to utilize the sister hotel’s facilities just to get a reasonable experience. When guests are voluntarily leaving your property to find what should already be available to them, that speaks volumes. The Gale South Beach had every opportunity to deliver a memorable Miami experience and fell short at every turn. I would not recommend this property and will not be returning.

  The hotel is not very accommodating for persons with disabilities. Too many stairs to enter from valet parking area to reach the front desk. Rooms are small and the hotel while on Collins Ave, it's off the beaten track. The phone in the room didn't work to reach the font desk or maintenance. The shower had no hot water. As a Hilton Honors member I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

  Bad experience with Gale South Beach all around. I was charged for a poolside drink that was never delivered, and despite multiple follow-ups, my refund was mishandled and delayed for almost two months. I was eventually told the refund had been applied to the wrong card, not mine. I was told the drink would take five minutes, then that the drink machine was broken, and finally to go to the pool area from the beach to get it myself. Shawn was rude and unhelpful in his email responses. While I eventually received the correct refund after reaching out about 10 times, the lack of communication and accountability made this a very frustrating experience. I also sent a final email 18 days ago requesting some form of compensation and never received a response, which ultimately led me to leave this review. I would not recommend this hotel based on their all around poor service in person and via customer service.

  Unfortunately booking 4 months ahead does not guarentee one a decent room. We arrived to find only one room available, bed was rumpled, no remote - and the replacement would only switch off the tv by setting a 30min timer. It got worse as it turned out the room was close to the nightclub - meaning sleep was only forthcoming at 4am. And compounded with jetlag meant the holiday was off to a rocky start. Oh, and then of course when we got back to the room the next day at 16:30 it was unserviced - as was not on list. And I'm afraid that the single complimentary breakfast could not really cut it. I think that a sincere applology would have been far more effective. I would think twice before booking at this hotel.
