  The best thing about this place is its location and rooftop pool.I came here for a wedding and we were in walking distance of just about everything including the wedding venue, the W hotel. The room was old, not very clean and the TVs in the room did not work. We also did not receive housekeeping services despite only seldom being in the room. After several requests, they finally sent someone over to try to fix the TVs, but he was unable to. I couldn't sleep because of all the street noise. I do not recommend this hotel.

  ATTENTION , regardez bien les avis, ils sont tous FAUX ! Il y a parfois 10 avis le même jour, et chose étonnante, ce sont souvent des comptes qui ont juste 2 ou 3 avis et tous les comptes ont fréquentés les mêmes établissement. Je vais le signaler à Google. Nous avons vécu une expérience absolument déplorable dans cet hôtel. Dès notre arrivée, l’accueil a été froid et peu professionnel. Nous avions réservé un appartement avec cuisine, mais nous nous sommes retrouvés avec une simple kitchenette… équipée uniquement d’un micro-ondes. Attention si vous cochait "cuisine" sur les site de réservation, ca peut être juste un microonde, il faut vérifier les équipements mis à dispo. Pour obtenir une véritable cuisine, nous avons dû payer 25 $ supplémentaires. On nous a fourni une cafetière avec 4 dosettes : un mot précisait que seules les deux premières étaient gratuites, les deux autres étant facturées 2 $ chacune. Malgré le fait que nous n’en ayons consommé que deux, nous avons tout de même été facturés ! Deux bouteilles d’eau étaient également mises à disposition… à 9 $ l’unité. Quand on paie 250 $ la nuit, c’est juste honteux. Le pire est arrivé pendant la nuit. Logés au 2ᵉ étage, nous avions entrebâillé la baie vitrée pour avoir un peu d’air. À 4 h du matin, nous avons été réveillés par un voleur juste à côté de notre lit. Nous avons crié, il s’est enfui. À la réception, aucune excuse, aucune empathie, pas même une question pour savoir comment nous allions. On nous a simplement proposé de finir la nuit dans une autre chambre. Nous avons dû insister pour obtenir le remboursement de la nuit, qui a finalement été accordé. La manager, quant à elle, s’est montrée hautaine, désagréable, et n’a fait aucun effort pour parler plus simplement alors que l’anglais n’est pas notre langue maternelle. La piscine sur le rooftop est plutôt agréable, avec transats et beds… mais bien entendu, si vous voulez profiter des beds, c’est encore payant. En résumé, un hôtel dont le seul objectif semble être d’extorquer le maximum d’argent à ses clients, sans aucun sens du service ni du respect. À éviter absolument.

  The hotel room was very nice and spacious it felt clean, neat and organized with cute decor. The pool and hot tub was for the most part clean. We enjoyed the free towels and beach chairs down by the beach, but umbrellas were extra. The only downside to the hotel was the fact that we smelt a constant odor to the resemblance of cat pee making it slightly un enjoyable to actually relax

  Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price I booked a penthouse suite at Boulan South Beach Resort and was assured that I would be able to check in when my flight arrived. However, upon arrival, I was informed that my room wasn’t ready. Later, I was told that the HVAC system in the penthouse I reserved was broken, and I was placed in a lower-priced room instead. The front desk clerk asked me for my ID and card, I handed it to him in his hand and each time he kept returning the same items laying them on the counter, instead giving them back to me in my hand as my hand was waiting for him to return them to me. If I could give a negative number for the service, I would apply. They also tried to bill me for the drink and snacks in the room 30 minutes after I left the room in which I know no one had been in the room that early in the morning, and we had not touched any of those expensive snacks or drinks in the room. I called and they sent a revised invoice crediting back the erroneous charges. I had no choice but to leave my luggage and food in the temporary room for several hours while I attended scheduled business meetings. That night, I was kept in a low-cost room and moved to PH5 the next day—only to discover a long list of issues. The refrigerator didn’t work, the blinds were broken, the upstairs deck was damaged, and even the room phone to contact the front desk was out of order. Anytime I needed assistance, I had to physically go downstairs, which was a major inconvenience. I spoke with the manager, who acknowledged the problems and assured me that she would adjust my bill by reducing the charges and waiving the resort fees. Two days before checkout, she confirmed that these notes were in the system. However, when I checked out at 5 a.m. on November 6th, the front desk staff said there were no notes about any discounts or adjustments. As of November 9th, I still haven’t received my invoice or any follow-up. When I called again, I was told there were still no records of my conversation with the manager. This entire experience was unprofessional, frustrating, and unacceptable—especially for a property that markets itself as a luxury resort. I paid for a penthouse experience and instead received a series of inconveniences, broken amenities, and poor communication. I would not recommend Boulan South Beach Resort to anyone expecting quality service or accountability.

  Changed rating to 1 as the owner replied with “ChatGPT said:…” if you don’t even read, don’t brother to reply. We had an overall happy stay at Boulan South Beach. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach. A special shout-out to Emma at the front desk, who was super friendly and welcoming. She helped us with an early check-in, which made a big difference after our travels. One thing to be aware of: we were told the first two coffee pots in the room were complimentary, but we still got charged for the first pot. It was a bit confusing, so I’d recommend the hotel clarify what’s actually included versus what incurs an extra charge. For the hotel restaurant, Florencia truly stood out. Her warmth and genuine care completely changed our dining experience—she alone brought our restaurant rating from a 1 to a 4. Thank you, Florencia, for making guests feel so valued.
