    This oceanfront hotel was our favorite IHG stay over the past 13 months. We were upgraded to a King Ocean View with Balcony, and lemme tell ya, it's pretty wonderful being 7 floors up watching the surf with the ocean breeze blowing through your peach fuzz while the briney lullaby takes you away faster than you can say Calgon. The Starbucks/Gelato shop is a great touch, and the in-house restaurant, Longboards, was a delightful place to grab breakfast and lunch. Bonus, if you have IHG Food &. Beverage rewards, you can stack them to pay when you check out, if you charge the meals and drinks to your room. The elevators were fast, and I was able to print several forms from their business center. The valet service is convenient, but it does take some time to get them to bring your car up, if it gets busy.

    Great value for money and a wonderful oceanfront atmosphere We are currently staying at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront and are having a great experience so far. The hotel offers excellent value for money and a very pleasant atmosphere. Being right on the oceanfront truly makes a difference and adds a special touch to the stay. The staff have been consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional. A special mention goes to Prentice Murphy from the restaurant — he is extremely attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring, always making sure everything is perfect. His service really stands out and makes each visit to the restaurant even more enjoyable. We are so happy with our stay that we are considering extending it for a couple more days before leaving. Highly recommend this hotel for its location, atmosphere, and outstanding service.

    The hotel is obviously a little old. My room was a bit dirty in terms of needing paint touch up and things like that. I was pretty upset at the fact I had to pay 60 something dollars just to park there for 3 nights. When I booked the room it wasn’t disclosed to me at all. The valet seems to be the only option for parking. When I arrived my first evening, the parking area was roped off and I was told by the valet I have to use them. So I gave my information and they took my vehicle. Just seems a bit odd that guests can’t park their own vehicle and then they’re forced to pay for it. I wish they had disclosed that during booking

    Our stay here didn't start off the greatest. We stayed in what looked to be an older building. It isn't in it's best shape imo. We also had an issue with our first room, which required us to change to another. HOWEVER, the staff took ownership, handled it very quickly, and took great care of us! In the end, the care the hotel staff put into taking care of us really changed our experience for the better. Shout out to Jacob and Brian at the front desk 👏🏽 We'd definitely stay here again. We stayed here 2 nights and it was

    I had an extremely disappointing stay at Crown Royal Plaza Beachside, primarily due to poor room conditions and a serious lack of customer service and communication. From the beginning, multiple essential amenities in our room were not functioning. The air conditioning was completely broken, making the room unbearably hot. In addition, the lights near the bed did not work, and the room phone was also out of service. Because of the heat, we were forced to sleep with the back door open for two days just to get some airflow, which is neither comfortable nor safe. What made the situation worse was the lack of responsiveness from staff. We attempted to contact the front desk by phone multiple times, only to find that their phone system was not working. This left us with no choice but to physically walk to the front desk for assistance. Even then, the help we received was minimal and ineffective. We were told at one point that no complaint had been received, despite us clearly reporting the issues. This showed a serious breakdown in internal communication and made us feel dismissed and unheard as guests. There was no sense of urgency, accountability, or follow-up regarding the problems we experienced. Overall, the customer service was poor, communication was lacking, and the unresolved maintenance issues made the stay extremely uncomfortable. For the price and expectations of this property, this level of service is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here, and I will not be returning.
