We stayed here last night and were very disappointed for the price of the room versus the amenities. For 600+ a night we would expect a closet to hang our clothes not two hooks with hangers?!?
Prices of drinks and food are extremely over priced as well. This is coming from people who live in Miami by the way.
Next time we will stay elsewhere.

We recently stayed at Tranquility Bay and had an extremely concerning experience that forced us to leave immediately.
We have traveled extensively and stayed in everything from luxury resorts to basic roadside motels, and we can honestly say we have never encountered a room this unsanitary. The level of cleanliness was far below any acceptable standard.
In our first room, there was hair everywhere including eyelashes, beard hair, pubic hair, and even dog hair covering the bedding, pillows, floors, bathtub, and sink. We also found a toenail clipping next to the bed. The window had been left open prior to our arrival, which resulted in bugs on the bed, and there were dead bugs throughout the room. The space itself was very outdated and worn, but we would not have cared about that if it had been clean.
After raising these issues, we were moved to the room next door. Unfortunately, the second room was just as bad, if not worse. It had the same widespread hair and cleanliness issues, along with visible blood stains on the sheets. There were also torn window screens and more dead bugs throughout.
At that point, we completely lost confidence that the situation could be corrected. I am currently pregnant, and the condition of both rooms felt like a genuine health concern. We made the decision to leave immediately after inspecting the second room and relocated to another hotel down the street, which was significantly cleaner and a far better experience overall.
In hindsight, I wish I had documented more, but the conditions were so off putting that our priority was simply to leave. I would strongly encourage anyone staying here to thoroughly inspect all surfaces, especially bedding and bathrooms, using a flashlight.
I am not sure if this was an isolated housekeeping issue or if the property is normally maintained differently, but whatever is going on is not acceptable and needs to be addressed immediately.
We have since reached out to management requesting a full refund for our stay and are awaiting a response. If this is not resolved appropriately, we will be pursuing further steps to address the situation.
This was not a minor housekeeping oversight. This was a serious cleanliness failure that raises real concerns about basic health and safety standards. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below even the most minimal expectations for any accommodation.
All the photos of the hair on bedding are from different spots. This is just what I documented. It was far worse.

We stayed at the "waterfront" unit for 3 days and wanted to stay more actually. Both the accommodations and surroundings looked much better in real life than in pictures and it was great value compared to other properties in Keys during this trip.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The property is absolutely perfect with many amenities for you to enjoy. We gave them 5 stars as a whole and are really happy we stumbled upon them. I will say at times the front desk seems a little short but they're busy and probably dealing with difficult ppl constantly so we gave that a pass. The downside was the rental of the gazebo. We appreciated the shade and semi privacy. But with that comes no service and you still have a long walk down to the beach because there is no spots to swim near the gazebo because of rocks. Also the TVs are very outdated and we can't watch a family movie at night because of that. Not smart nor does the cable provide anything really worth while. Those minor things still didn't drop the 5 star because the good outshines any inconveniences. We highly recommend this place!

Stayed here last week and was very underwhelmed by this hotel. The property and location of property was great 10/10. The rooms were clean but very dated, with carpets and old furniture. Asked to change rooms since we had a baby and were put on the second floor (with a bassinet stroller etc) and they were very unaccommodating. I was surprised there was no cafe / coffee shop onsite and the only option was a boxed breakfast that needed to be ordered the day before. I was ready to leave by the end of my stay ESP at this price, wish I stayed somewhere else.

When are your check-in/check-out times?
Check-in time begins at 4pm; guests will be checked in as rooms become available. Guests who anticipate a late arrival (after 11pm) should contact the Resort in advance to advise of their estimated arrival time. Check out time is before 11am. Early departures will incur an additional fee of one night’s room and tax charged to the card on file.
What is the minimum age to reserve a room?
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to reserve a room, confirmed by photo ID at check-in. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a guest aged 21 years or older during the full course of their stay. Parties unaccompanied by an adult over 21 years may be asked to leave the resort at any time.
Do you allow pets?
Pets are not permitted at Tranquility Bay Resort, with the exception of service animals.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to make our policies as clear and straightforward as possible. All cancellation timeframes are based on arrival date and 4:00 p.m. EST.
Do you charge a resort fee?
Yes, our Resort Fee is $55 per night (excluding 12.5% applicable taxes). The resort fee includes complimentary use of bikes outside the resort, access to our fitness center, various weekly activities, and environmental interests around the resort. Do you charge a destination fee?
Our Destination Fee (1.0%) is collected to help support Tranquility Bay’s programming, activities, events and sustainability efforts.
Is there a charge for additional guest room occupants?
Yes. Rooms are confirmed for the number of adults and children selected at the time of booking. If you are traveling with more than two adults, an extra adult fee of $20 per night plus tax will be applied.
What is the resort's smoking policy?
All guest rooms and beach houses are 100% non-smoking. There are no smoking rooms available. There is no smoking on property.
Do you have a fitness center on property?
Our fitness center is open 24 hours for resort guests with an array of equipment to choose from, including a brand new Peloton Bike! Experience on demand and immersive live Peloton workouts that will keep your blood pumping and energy up while on your beach getaway.

Do you offer breakfast on property?
While our dining outlets are only open for lunch and dinner, we do offer guests pastries, seasonal tropical fruit, and coffee in the morning for purchase inside the lobby. Where can I park on property?
Guests of the resort can park up to one vehicle per villa or guest room on property for no additional charge.
What is your policy regarding weapons and firearms on property?
For the safety and security of all guests and staff, firearms and weapons of any kind are not permitted anywhere on our property, including guest rooms, common areas, parking facilities, and all outdoor spaces. This policy applies to all guests, visitors, and third parties, regardless of permit status.
Will I be reimbursed if it rains during my stay?
If you add the Weather Guarantee at booking, you’ll receive a daily reimbursement when 1+ hours of qualifying rain (1.5 mm/hour or more) occur between 8 AM and 8 PM during your stay. Sensible Weather monitors the forecast, alerts you if weather triggers coverage, and sends your reimbursement automatically.
