I somehow neglected to post a review of this hotel at the time this happened. It's been a long time - but it still happened, and I will never forget it, nor forgive them for it.
This hotel essentially ruined my wife and I's wedding night.
Our room had *paper thin* walls and we could hear every single noise outside.
There was no hot water in our room. We asked to be moved to a different room and were declined. They told us they couldn't fix the water that night. We took frigid showers. We got little sleep. The bed was not comfortable.
They then lost our leftover food from the wedding reception that they advised they could store for us overnight.
When we presented all of these issues to them at checkout, they simply didn't care. There was no attempt to resolve, no offer to compensate, no desire whatsoever to retain our business. We left just in shock at the experience.
And thus, I will NEVER stay here again, no matter who owns the place now or how much has changed. It's enraging to this day to even think about. The most egregious customer service and hospitality failure I've ever had in my life.

I stayed at The Terrace Hotel by Hilton and, unfortunately, the experience was mediocre at best. For a hotel charging over $200 a night, and it being a HILTON, the level of service was disappointing and nowhere near what I expect from this brand.
There is no room service. While you can order food online from the restaurant, you’re required to go down to the lobby to pick it up yourself. On top of that, there is no food available after 10 p.m. The “all-day menu” advertised online is misleading, as it’s actually only available during lunch and dinner hours, with no clear times listed anywhere.
There’s also no ice service as advertised on the property. You have to go searching for it yourself on specific floors (the 4th or 6th). I requested extra pillows at the time of booking, and that request was never accommodated.
The building is located on a very busy street, and the noise was constant throughout the night. Between traffic and garbage trucks beeping around 4 a.m., getting a good night’s sleep was difficult.
The one and ONLY bright spot of the entire stay was the valet attendant, who was incredibly friendly and had a great attitude; easily the best part of the experience.
Overall, this stay was a huge waste of money and fell FAR short of the service and comfort I associate with Hilton. I will NOT be staying here again, and you should consider a different establishment if you’re looking for a truly comfortable and service oriented stay.
To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.

Towels had blood stains on them and constant road noise from people racing cars even on Christmas eve. Otherwise hotel was nice, clean and comfortable and the restaurant on ground floor was great which is so often not the case
Pros: Beautiful hotel, service top notch, and good location from shops and restaurants. When we first arrived to our room the desk in the room was broken within minutes they sent maintenance to try to repair.Complimentary self parking with valet.
Cons: If you care about your sleep I would avoid this hotel. Sleeping is pretty much impossible in this hotel you will hear the train, noisy cars and bikes, police, fire and ambulance. To add on to the noise the A/C sounds like the noise a car makes when it starting up.

I have spent time in Lakeland as I have family in the area, and have seen the hotel many times. This was my first time staying there as a guest. From the very beginning, the experience was excellent. The valet attendant was very nice even after we told him we wanted to self park. He explained where we can park and provided us with a parking pass. He greeted us every time we passed by him. The front desk ladies were also very nice. They gave us a cookie and a glass of champagne for the holidays. It was a nice touch. We stayed in a corner room with a Lakeview. The room was modern, clean, with a nice view of Lake Mirror. We had read reviews about the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. This is true. We could hear one of our neighbors on the phone as well as the ambulance or loud cars on the street. It was not a large negative as we know it is an older hotel. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well! The shower had good water pressure. I only wish the bathroom had more counter space as I have a lot of products ;) but again, not a deterrent negative. We look forward to staying there again. The hotel is also very centrally located in downtown Lakeland, close to small shops, bars and eateries.
