    I booked one room for two nights at Home2 Suites by Hilton Lakeland North I-4 through my company’s internal travel booking website, which employees use to reserve work accommodations. Before arriving, I checked in through the Hilton app and selected my room as prompted. When I arrived early at the hotel, I went to the front desk to see if the room was ready and to get a physical key. The receptionist said she did not see the mobile check-in room listed in their system and recommended assigning me a different room instead. I accepted the room she gave me, which then updated on my phone. The stay itself was fine with no complaints. At checkout, I received a bill showing only one room for two nights, which matched what I booked and experienced. Everything looked correct, so I submitted that receipt to my company and thought the matter was settled. Weeks later, I reviewed my credit card transactions and discovered I had been charged for two different rooms — even though I only stayed in one. This second charge had never appeared on my checkout receipt. I contacted the hotel to dispute the charge. They told me their records showed I had booked two rooms. I asked them to review the key card access data to see whether the second room had been used. After checking, they confirmed that the second room was never entered. Despite this confirmation, they only offered to refund one night, leaving me paying for a room I never occupied. I asked to escalate the issue to management and was given a contact number. I called multiple times and left messages, but no one ever returned my calls. I then contacted Hilton’s corporate office, who stated the matter had to be resolved directly with the hotel. I explained that the hotel had not responded at all, at which point corporate opened a case and said they would investigate and follow up. That was weeks ago, and I have received no response or resolution. At this point, it appears that a multi-billion-dollar company has kept money for a service never provided — even after their own records confirmed the mistake. Whether the issue was caused by the app or by front desk error remains unclear, but the result is the same: I paid for someone else’s mistake, and no one took responsibility for fixing it. I find it deeply saddening and disheartening that this is how customers are treated when an error is clearly proven. I will never patronize another Hilton property again.

    6 things wrong here. The heavy bathroom door blocked the toilet and shower door.We had to close the door behind us in the bathroom to get to the shower. The card keys stopped working several times on our 3 night stay. We had to go to the desks several times to get them to reboot the plastic card key. Very inconvenient with packages in hand . Pool area littered with Cheetos and potatoes chips as the ants are feeding from them. We kept bumping into the foreign cleaning guy whom lives there. We could not get back into the hotel from the door leading to the outdoor pool. We had to walk all the way around to the corner to a different door to get back into the hotel. The pool needs some solar heating. It's way to cold to swim in Friendly Great location horrible traffic Too Helpful of staff.
