  I made a reservation at the Holiday inn Express lake placid Florida. Somehow, I ended up speaking to a third party reservation company named Hotel Planners. They did tell me that they were at the front desk of the hotel and I was dealing directly with the hotel. Which was a lie. I was speaking to hotel planners. I've tried to change my reservation one day because my friend's wife had a heart attack and is ended up in the hospital. I wanted to arrive one day later because of the hospital stay. They said I could not change my reservation because there was a charge of $106 more. I contacted the hotel itself and they said that there shouldn't have been a charge and that would have been no problem to just change my reservation one day later. Paula at the hotel was amazing. I explained the situation to her and she was extremely helpful. It doesn't look like my friend's wife is coming home from the hospital. Hotel planners is a scam. How they manipulated my reservation is a total mystery to me. They lied to me and said they were at the front desk at the hotel, when it was a third party reservation. And were supposed to change my reservation and then cancel it. As of yet they have done nothing. Please be aware of hotel planners. They are a scam. Paula at the Holiday Express, gave us an email number that hotel planners were supposed to contact them and change the reservation after fighting with them on the phone. As of yet 24 hours later they never contacted the hotel. Paula did everything in her power to make things right. I had to cancel the reservation regardless only because it doesn't look like my friend's wife is coming home from the hospital. Again. Paula at the hotel was amazing. And hotel planners was a scam. .

  I especially want to recognize Paula for her exceptional customer service. She was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to help me with an issue that was actually my own mistake. She handled everything with patience, understanding, and professionalism, and never once made it feel like a problem. Paula truly made our stay smoother and less stressful. Her kindness and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. She represents the hotel so well, and her level of customer service is rare to find. She absolutely deserves recognition and honestly, a promotion or raise for the amazing job she does.

  I arrived at Lake Placid Holiday inn Express after a long day of travel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were luxurious and very clean and neat. When morning arrived at 6AM I was welcomed to an excellent breakfast with many healthy alternatives. What a WONDERFUL experience at the Holiday inn Express in America's most interesting town 🌅

  BEST breakfast around! A really great variety including eggs, meats, yogurt, 3 different types of juice, sweet bun's, fruit, and more. Fran who takes care of everything couldn’t be nicer. She keeps the area spotless and delivers friendly service. Kenny and Paula at the front desk are kind and accommodating. The hotel is very clean which is KEY in my opinion. The location is also great. Best hotel in town.
