Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was exciting on its own—but what impressed me just as much was the Cast Members’ acting. From the moment you step in, they don’t treat you like a regular guest. You’re immediately pulled into the story—handled like an “intruder” or “criminal,” and spoken to like you’re truly part of the conflict. Then, after everything you go through, the tone shifts and you’re welcomed back with this surprisingly warm, almost “homecoming” feeling. That contrast made the whole experience even more memorable. What I love most is how Disney builds immersion down to the smallest details. It’s not just a ride—it’s a full narrative experience where you feel like you’re inside the Star Wars world. Even if you’re not a huge Star Wars fan, you can absolutely enjoy this attraction. It’s one of the most impressive themed experiences in the park.

This ride is massively overhyped. My son was determined to ride. It was broken down for about 3 hours. We got on and waited 80 min only for it to break down again. It was our turn to go on so they gave us a lightning lane to use later. We came back and waited 20 min in the lightning lane. It is an immersive experience but it’s totally for Star Wars fans. I’ve seen the movies but they are not that interesting for me and without that interest there’s very little excitement. It’s not a thrill ride by any stretch. It’s probably worth doing once but if you’re not a Star Wars fan once will be enough.

Star Wars Rise of the Resistance remains one of my favorite rides Disney has ever created, even with the occasional downtime that comes with how ambitious it is. When it does go down, Cast Members do a great job handling recovery, and getting on later without any issues only reinforces how well the experience is managed overall. What really sets this attraction apart is that the buildup and story leading into the ride are almost as strong as the ride itself, making the entire experience feel cohesive and cinematic rather than just a single attraction. From the moment you enter until the moment you exit, it feels like a full Star Wars set piece rather than a standard theme park ride, and that level of immersion is why it continues to stand out and hold its place as a must do every visit.

The ride broke down right as I was getting in line (Not surprisingly considering this is currently the most popular ride in the park and is constantly going). The cast members were very professional and let me know of the malfunction and let me wait outside the queue until the ride was working again. As soon as the ride was up, I was able to get in like and waited maybe 30 minutes at the most. The queue is so immersive and the pre show was incredible! Unfortunately, while getting assigned to seating spaces for the ride, some rude middle aged woman lashed out at a poor cast member. The woman wasn’t paying attention to which color to stand on and despite the cast member, Kiara, clearly stating to stand in a particular spot, the woman yelled profanities at her. Kiara was a wonderful cast member and remained professional and in character despite the woman calling her horrible things. I have the upmost respect for all the cast members who pose as part of the First Order as they are seen as the “bad guys” and likely have to deal with disrespectful people all day. The ride itself was unbelievable and by far the most immersive ride I had ever been on. I personally cannot bring myself to wait 2 hours to get on it but I do understand the hype and would pay for a lighting lane pass to get on it
