  Originally opened in Disneyland in 1967, this cruise through a series of scenes depicting a pirate raid on an island settlement is one of the most influential theme park attractions ever created. The Magic Kingdom's version retains the elaborate queuing area, grand scale, and detailed sets that have awed audiences since the ride's debut. As one of the theme park's most popular rides, Pirates is updated often. Pirates moves crowds in a hurry. There are dark scenes. And there is one small drop where you may get wet.

  If you’re at Disney and skip Pirates of the Caribbean, you’re doing it wrong. This is one of those classic rides that never gets old. The animatronics are still insanely good. The facial expressions, the sword fights, the little details in the jail scene. It holds up. The atmosphere is what makes it though. The dim lighting, the cannon fire, the slow drift through the town while everything is in chaos. And yes, the smell. That cool, musty water scent hits you the second your boat floats off and somehow it’s nostalgic every single time. If they bottled that scent, I’d buy it. It’s not a thrill ride. It’s a vibe ride. You sit back, cool off, and let the story unfold. Perfect break from the Florida heat and the long lines. Still one of the best classic Disney attractions ever built.

  Quite fun, with great animatronics and a story about a pirate raid on a port city. At the end of the attraction, there’s a souvenir shop.

  Amo essa atração do Magic Kingdon. Os cenários são muito bonitos. É imperdível para adultos e crianças. Fica em Adventure land.
