  Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the ride you hit when Florida heat is doing its thing and you’re ready to fully commit to getting drenched. This is not a light mist situation. You will get wet. Shoes, shorts, everything. And honestly, that’s the whole point. The queue is themed beautifully through an Asian rainforest setting, with detailed architecture and immersive storytelling that Disney does so well. Once you’re on the raft, it’s unpredictable in the best way. Every spin feels different, and you never know who’s about to take the waterfall hit. It’s fun for all ages, especially families riding together and laughing when someone gets absolutely soaked. Wait times can get long, especially midday when everyone wants to cool off. If you can rope drop it or ride closer to park close, that’s the move. Locker rentals nearby are helpful if you don’t want to walk around Animal Kingdom in squishy sneakers the rest of the day. It’s not the most intense thrill ride at Disney World, but it’s one of the most refreshing. On a hot day, Kali River Rapids is a must do. Just plan on embracing the splash.
