Absolutely beautiful interior — animals were great to see too!
We booked a Savannah room, but unfortunately views for each room are not created equal. However, the experience of being able to see animals out the window (or walking around the property) was unique.
I’d NOT staying here if the plan is to go to parks all day, as it’s quite far from everything but Animal Kingdom. If you’re planning on a relaxing day, however, it’s great.
The restaurants in the resort are also very very good (albeit pricey with the Disney premium). In fact, everything is pricey!

The cast and atmosphere were top notch. The rooms were average hotel rooms, but with her savannah view it was lovely and relaxing and the kids got excited every morning g to see what was out there. But with Disney you pay a premium and the cost per room was steep. If you get a decent price I would jump on it, but I would not pay full price.
The biggest draw is the distance to magic kingdom, epcot etc. It take a solid 25 mins to get anywhere and that is if you dont have to wait for a bus. Due to the distance and price, I think there is better options.
However, if you are looking for quality food. Animal Kingdom Lodge is the best bet.

Great service. Africa-themed atmosphere focused on animals and art. Lovely pool. Dinning options are both interesting for adults and accessible for pickier kids, if you choose the quick service restaurant. The sit down restaurants would probably not work for picky eaters. Neat to see the animals outside of your room. They won't always be visible, but there are feeding stations nearby to attract animals at meal time.

Totally love it. ))) Highly recommend. Just came back from Birthday celebration for 12 y.o. Lady. The room 3564 in Jumbo House absolutely worth the money. We had a great Savanna view and saw all Giraffes 🦒 we came for + another beautiful African animals. Guessing that 3rd floor is the best hight. Also had dinner at Jiko and it was new and different. Great food and service. Style of the hotel and the room is very special and unique. Staff is nice and attentive. Everything was great and we are super happy. ) Will keep these memories throughout Life. )
Thank you guys so much. )

The Family and I had a very memorable time staying at the Animal a Kingdom Lodge. The support personnel were all extremely helpful and friendly. The experience of being able to sit on the balcony of our room and observe the wildlife was worth the extra expense. The only complaint was trying to contact the front desk prior to check in. After spending 40 minutes on the phone on hold then speaking at length with someone who could not help us, he tried to connect me with the front desk and they merely passed a message to me. I never did get through to the front desk. Considering how expensive the rooms are, I would have expected better service.
