Resort experience like no other. Rooms are clean and decent size. The views of African animals on the savanna makes this an amazing experience if you are into animals. The architectural detail is gorgeous. I really think this is one of the prettiest Disney World resorts. It’s the furthest resort from Magic Kingdom but it’s truly a unique and relaxing experience. If you plan to go to parks from rope drop to close then maybe save your money and stay at a less expensive resort. If you want to relax at the resort and take in a “Safari like experience” then definitely give this resort a shot. If you can afford the upgrade, get the savanna view rooms. If resort view is more your budget then request a partial savanna view. We had the partial view and it hasn’t disappointed! The burger at Victoria Falls Lounge is truly unique and probably the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The goat cheese dip will make your day with the fresh baked bread. I love Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Front desk staff not very helpful upon initial entry. Room had queen bed which was very comfortable and a pull out queen sofa bed, which was horrible. Asked for additional cushioning because you could feel springs. Front desk said they were aware that sofa bed wasn't comfortable and they planned on replacing them soon. For $700/night, not what we were expecting. Microwave almost came off the stand when we opened its door. Found earring on the carpet from previous customer so assuming floor was not vacuumed thoroughly before we occupied the room. This once in a lifetime experience will definitely only happen once. Expected to see much more animals.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Escape to the Heart of Africa! Our stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped into the grand lobby with its towering thatched ceilings and incredible collection of African art, we felt like we had been transported thousands of miles away to a luxury safari lodge. Highlights of Our Stay: • The Savanna Views: There is truly nothing like waking up, grabbing a cup of coffee, and walking out onto the balcony to see giraffes, zebras, and gazelles grazing just a few yards away. It is the most peaceful and unique way to start a Disney day. • World-Class Dining: We were blown away by the food. Boma offered an incredible buffet with flavors we couldn’t find anywhere else, and the famous Indian-style bread service at Sanaa (at Kidani Village) is a must-try for any foodie. Don't forget to grab some Zebra Domes from The Mara—they lived up to the hype! • Immersive Atmosphere: The resort is so much more than just a hotel; it’s a cultural experience. We loved talking to the Cultural Representatives from various African nations who shared stories about their home countries and the animals on the savanna. • A Relaxing Retreat: After the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, coming back to the Lodge felt like a true sanctuary. Whether we were sitting by the fire pit at night or taking a dip in the Uzima Springs pool, the vibes were always calm and restorative. The level of detail and storytelling throughout the resort is unmatched. If you are looking for a stay that offers both luxury and adventure, Animal Kingdom Lodge is the absolute gold standard in Orlando. We cannot wait to come back!

This lodge beautiful and Their decorations for Christmas were amazing. The staff was friendly. We got the Savannah view room, which was amazing to see all the different animals From our balcony. I will, however, say the service could’ve been better for the price of the room.. would like to have had a bit of pixie dust or room amenities… our first trip, many asked On the phone when calling about reservations if it was our first time and we were told we would get pins and never did… they told us they were out..parking was pretty far away as well But I do appreciate that it was free and that we got early entry into Disney and the other parks ..Thanks for a great experience

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most unique and immersive hotels at Walt Disney World Resort, designed to transport guests into the heart of the African savanna. The moment you step into the grand lobby, you are welcomed by breathtaking architecture inspired by traditional African lodges: high thatched ceilings, warm earthy tones, wood carvings, tribal patterns, and a massive window that overlooks a real savanna filled with wildlife. The atmosphere is tranquil, warm, and full of detail, making you feel like you’ve traveled far from Florida. One of the most extraordinary features of Animal Kingdom Lodge is the ability to wake up in your room and see animals roaming just outside your balcony. Over 30 species live on the hotel’s surrounding savannas, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and exotic birds. From early morning to sunset, you can observe them grazing, walking, or resting. Nighttime brings an even more magical experience, as the hotel offers night-vision goggles so guests can watch animals under the stars. The resort is divided into two main areas: Jambo House and Kidani Village. Jambo House features traditional hotel rooms while Kidani Village offers Disney Vacation Club suites with larger living spaces, making it great for families. Both areas share access to pools, restaurants, and the savannas. Dining is a standout experience at this resort. Boma – Flavors of Africa offers an impressive buffet featuring flavors from across the continent, from roasted meats to unique soups and spices. Jiko – The Cooking Place is a signature restaurant where African cuisine meets fine dining, known for its oak-grilled dishes and award-winning South African wine list. Sanaa, located in Kidani Village, is famous for its bread service and the incredible view of animals right outside the restaurant windows, Animal Kingdom Lodge also offers cultural programs led by African Cast Members who share stories, crafts, music, and traditions, making the stay educational as well as relaxing. The Uzima Springs pool and the Kidani Village pool feature slides, play areas for kids, and quiet spots for adults. There are also fitness centers, art collections, and outdoor fire pits. Overall, Animal Kingdom Lodge is more than a hotel—it's an experience. It blends luxury with adventure, comfort with culture, and nature with Disney magic, offering a stay that feels unforgettable and truly special.
