This was my all-time favorite Disney attraction as a kid. I was obsessed with the goofy singing country bears, and I just about wore out my vinyl Disney record that featured all the songs. But as an adult, the lyrics and the show in general got totally cringe-worthy. Thankfully in 2024, Disney decided to change it up into something more modern and Disney-fied, and I love it! The bears have been given glam-ups too, with fun and bright new costumes, and the animatronic programming seems smoother and more fluid. They're just as cute and fuzzy and silly as ever. You enter into the Grizzly Hall theater, a spacious spot with padded bench seats. There aren't really any bad seats for the animatronic musical show, but sit on the left side if you want to be closest to the best bear of all, Big Al! There is a "cast" of over a dozen funny bears and they sing classic and modern Disney songs with a country twang. It's silly, but I still like it. It does seem like today's kids aren't as thrilled by it, but I still think it's great. It's still corny, but at least those old (and let's face it, totally politically incorrect) jokes and one-liners have been removed. Disney purists will cry foul, but it was just as bad (if not worse) than the old auction scene that was thankfully redone in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was time to let the fat jokes and kid beating barbs go. Even if you don't care about the show, at least the theater is air conditioned and you can get off your feet for a little while. I, on the other hand, still consider this a "must do" whenever I'm at Disney World!
