To be honest, my wife and I aren't usually fans of lodge-themed resorts, but the glowing reviews convinced us to give it a try—and we are so glad we did. From the moment you walk into the grand, soaring lobby, the "wow factor" hits you. The layout reminded me of the Polynesian Village Resort, but on a much grander scale. Having the rooms located in the main building is a huge plus, as it keeps you right in the heart of the action. The suite itself was fantastic, perfectly balancing a rustic wilderness aesthetic with modern touches. We loved the abundance of cozy fireplaces throughout the property, the quality dining options, and the fun of hunting for Hidden Mickeys. This stay completely changed our perspective on lodge-style accommodations. 5/5 stars.

Take a boat ride to Contemporary Resort and hop on the monorail to the Polynesians newest restsurant, Wailulu Bar & Grill. Enjoy the pools at Cooper Creek and Boulder Ridge. View the 400-year old trees bordering Bay Lake. Great room decor; not as rustic as the Wilderness Lodge. Take the free tour throughout the resort as Ranger Alan relays the story behind everything you're viewing and the history behind it.
