Not sure if security outside of the property is ran by the hotel but Mike at the security desk needs some customer service skills. Came here today 4/21/25 and I was met by his attitude which was impatient and annoyed, mind you this was my very first time at Disney coming to this hotel to have breakfast at topolinos. This is not someone I want to be greeted by at the gate nor an attitude I want to experience at Disney.

Wow! We've been DVC members since 2013, and this was our first time staying at the Riviera. We loved EVERYTHING about it. Our family of four stayed in a 1 bedroom preferred view suite. The accommodations were fantastic. The cast members were great. The quick service options were awesome. The pool was amazing, and the location was the best!

Honestly, our stay was somewhat disappointing. The room was nice I guess. Reasonably premium but for the cost it was like any other business class hotel. Artwork is really the only thing whimsical about it.
Location is amazing. Quick skyliner ride to Epcot etc.
Our specific room location was awful. Be aware that if they put you in the east wing, you have a good chance of being near the loading dock. Our party was woken up at midnight, 3am, 4am, and 6am by the reversing alarms on semi trucks. Disregard the fact that we could hear the drivers yelling and swearing with the doors shut!
Also, the rediculous cost to upgrade to a 2 bedroom. For a few days just the upgrade costs more that a stay at bonnet Creek with a 3-4 bedroom with just as premium fixtures.
If you debate value it is therefore a loss. If you're still not sold due to location, remember that everything else on the skyliner path is an option for a fraction the price. It isn't a bad hotel, just not a good value especially considering the lack of sleep.
Update, the staff are the only reason this review isn't lower. (Like most Disney staff, they are friendly and seem to try to help.)
Moved to a different resort and we are enjoying it much more. Additionally, with the cost savings we can get fast pass and have some extra souvenir money.
Second edit, dropping to 2 stars. Come on people, this is supposed to be a premium resort! I couldn't set the thermostat below 70*f!
At all the "budget" ones it can go to 64*f! (Granted, I just want 68*c. Apparently that is too much to ask for at a "premium" resort.

First stay in the studio rooms. We love the resort- it is our #1 preference for stays with DVC.
I would prefer more food options and improved quality. Although we are DVC we don’t eat in at all. The menus do not change and are sub par. It gets boring after a few nights. We like Topilinos, but feel the menu is very limited.
Also, the Reva Bar was a disappointment this time. If I’m paying $18 for a drink, I expect some alcohol in it. I ordered a daiquiri and watch them make it. The bartender was busy talking while making it and hardly put any alcohol in it. The bottle ran out during the pour- I thought she would get another bottle to finish, but she did not. I tasted it and couldn’t taste any alcohol. I took back and said it was very weak. I was told that a second drink would be the exact same. As a person paying a lot of $ for the week, that was not the appropriate response. No customer service at all. I was very disappointed. Not how I wanted my day by the pool to go. It kept me from
Ordering any other drinks that day.

We love the Riviera Resort. This is our second time staying. First time we had a pool view and that experience was absolutely amazing. Requested same location this time and we were on west said facing Epcot instead. This year we struggled with Housekeeping. We are passholders and come to Disney multiple times a year. Our days are always the same ..early rope drop ...late afternoon break ....come back late evening. No mater how many times I talked to housekeeping ..I called before we left in morning ..talked to front desk ....our room was never cleaned before we came back around 2/3pm. Then they would offer to come after 5 ..or have no service for the day. I am paying Deluxe prices ..I want housekeeping. But also don't want to have to leave the room during our break every day to get it. We stay all levels and have never experienced this before. It would always be clean when we returned from the parks. Maybe we were somewhere late in the room cleaning rotation based on location ?? But crazy it was not solved after speaking to the resort and housekeeping on multiple days. It truly did put a damper on our trip. Our afternoons and evenings timings were being determined on room cleanings and plans had to be changed. For the rest of the staff ...they couldn't have been friendlier! Love being welcomed home as we come and go. The food options here are amazing! Love the pool and location and skyliner access. Only issue we had was with housekeeping!
