  There were FLEAS in our studio. Never would I have thought that I would get fleas at Disney World. We did not realize what the little bugs on the floor were the first night. Just noticed that there were a lot of them, (they had to have been there long enough to breed) and we would deal with it in the morning. I tried to swish them and they wouldn’t squish, I thought that was weird. The next morning I got out of the shower and noticed the bugs jumped. Then 3 or 4 of them jumped onto my feet and bit me. We realized that we had bites all over our feet and legs. Our studio was infested with FLEAS. We had our room moved. When getting to the new room there were a couple of fleas on my arm. Meaning they definitely were transferring via guests and house keeping. For the rest of our stay we could not relax because we thought any piece of lint or freckle on us was a FLEA. I will never stay at Old Key West again.

  Unser Aufenthalt im Disney’s Old Key West Resort war insgesamt wirklich sehr gelungen – ich würde solide 4,5 von 5 Sternen vergeben. Die Anlage ist wunderschön gestaltet und vermittelt echtes Florida-Feeling mit viel Ruhe, Palmen und großzügigen Grünflächen. Besonders gefallen haben uns die weitläufigen Wege und die entspannte Atmosphäre, die einen angenehmen Kontrast zum oft hektischen Treiben in den Parks bietet. Die Zimmer bzw. Villen sind sehr geräumig, sauber und gut ausgestattet – ideal auch für längere Aufenthalte oder Familien. Der Service war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit, wie man es von Disney gewohnt ist. Auch der Transport zu den Parks (Bus und Boot nach Disney Springs) hat zuverlässig funktioniert, auch wenn man hier manchmal etwas Geduld mitbringen muss. Ein kleiner Punktabzug geht an die teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung – alles ist gepflegt, aber nicht mehr ganz auf dem neuesten Stand. Außerdem sind die Wege innerhalb des Resorts recht groß, was je nach Lage des Zimmers etwas unpraktisch sein kann. Alles in allem aber ein tolles Resort für alle, die es etwas ruhiger und entspannter mögen, ohne auf den Disney-Zauber zu verzichten. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!

  I love Disney and always try to stay at all different resorts each time I go (1-2 times a year)...I thought OKW would be a great choice because it is deluxe, but I was so wrong. Its sooo dated. I did a split stay last week between Port Orleans and OKW. The rooms and amenities at POR were so much better. OKW deluxe studio rooms need to be updated. Old carpets, lack of counter space, outdated bathroom and amenities. No small close up mirror to do make up. I had an iron and a broken ironing board. Other deluxe resorts (AKL and Poly) had a steamer! It has potential but needs to be seriously updated. Everything is so far from your hotel room. We had to drive just to go to the pool, get food, etc. Luckily we had a car! I couldn't imagine not having my own car. And the quick service is terrible. Other resorts have cafeteria style placrs with tons of food to select from. OKW has nothing! One type of muffin for breakfast...we had to drive over to POR to get breakfast. I would not stay here again...and I love Disney!

  I was celebrating my birthday and wanted a wonderful experience. Went to room and was the furthest area from hospitality house disabled with mobility scooter and had to lift front end to get indoors. Curtains were not hung properly and the toilet seat was broken. Great first impression, right. Then it is the only resort that never acknowledged my birthday. Even All Stars put balloons and a card with a piece of chocolate in my room. Riverside but a magnet and a few other things with card but this was nothing. Also, no Mickey in bed with towels like others I have stayed at. Over all, I will not go back to that resort when I always feel so welcomed and appreciated at all others I have stayed at from value to moderate to the deluxe.

  This stay our room was the studio. It has plenty of room. We requested the 1st floor as Old key west does not have elevators. They original had us in a second floor room. When we returned to the front desk to request the change the desk person was nun to happy. He rudely reminded us this is one of the oldest in the vacation club collection. As I said the room is spacious but the shades don't fully close and the shades on the patio doors make it visible to see outside and inside from outside when fully down due to the gap between the glass doors and the shades. Old key west also has very limited food options. The staff at the quick service location are very rude. When asking questions about the menu or what is on a menu item they act like you are waiting there time. Once upon a time this was one of our favorite resorts. Unfortunately it is no longer.
