This trip was okay. Our planner did an amazing job! But I have to say safety is a huge concern. My mom fell getting off the little mermaid ride at Magic kingdom that they have to stop the whole thing. I understand they want to keep the lines moving, but the escalator type on and off thing is quite dangerous. We stayed at the carribean beach resort and my son tripped going up the stairs on a water slide busting his chin wide open, getting 4 stitches. The top of his foot was also bruised from hitting that step. Another child also fell on that water slide so if you stay there please take extra precautions! My son just turned 5 and he’s got PTSD from his fall asking why Mickey would let him get hurt. He says he doesn’t want to go back to Disney because he doesn’t want to get stitches again. We did miss a park day because of his fall and couldn’t get a refund. I also don’t know if they are covering the medical bills as they haven’t reached out. A lot of the Disney staff throughout our staff were amazing like our waiter at cinderellas castle! I wish I could redo it, but hopefully my son will be willing to go back when he’s older and over his fall. 😥
The room itself was great, easy to get to by car and easy to get to if you're taking transportation including a conveniently located bus stop very close to the room in Trinidad. Inside is relatively spacious and clean, everything looks quite nice but be weary that the fixtures are very cheap and one of which was broken when we arrived, putting more than one towel on the rack sent the entire rack pole to the floor and I had to affix it back. If I'm going to be honest this stay in its entirety made me angry. I was angry because the resort hotel is massively more expensive than any other hotel but includes maybe 2/3s of the amenities of a sub $100 Red Roof Inn with no real mini fridge (conveniently the quote beverage cooler unquote gets to the convenient temperature of 41⁰ F just happens to be 1⁰ too warm to store food or leftovers safely not that you could warm them up anyway with not even a basic microwave 1⁰ feels incredibly intentional. The entire experience is meant to cattle you into spending as much money on the property as humanly possible and convince you that it isn't their main goal from the start. It feels like I am being patronized giving me a false sense control over the room climate for nearly $300 a night I expect to be able to cool my room down when walking out of 90⁰ Florida heat for 8-10 hours in the parks. The room included blow dryer just doesn't work well enough to be minimally effective. The Amazon Echo Disneyfied was useful to order room supplies and appreciate that convenience but at the very least won't be returning until the fridges return. As a final note, charging over $5 for a pop is ridiculous but Disney's perogative, charging over $5 for water is unethical.

Several favors play into this rating but the notable things to mention are that this was our first Disney trip, ever! We arrived under the assumption that this was a "Moderate level resort" but the room was very overpriced, dingy, & dirty (with dirt/grime buildup that I noticed as soon as we walked in). Not at all what I expected a Disney "moderate" hotel to be - especially considering the price bracket! The room kept holding humidity/water buildup on the INSIDE of the windows (the hotel manager did wind up giving us a $200 room credit bc of this concern). During our last day at this resort, we went to Epcot & spent the entire day (didn't leave until the park closed) & when walking to the buss stop, a "cast member" told us that our hotel did not have busses to/from Epcot (we rode in on the lift so this was news to us) but couldn't reenter the park since it had closed so we were asked to step in a buss pickup area until they could arrange for a bus from another resort to pick us up. We stood out in the FREEZING COLD (yes it was EXTREMELY COLD that night in January 2025) at 10pm/closing time with our two daughters (14yrs w/autism & 7yrs) until 11:30pm!!!! Yes, you read that correctly, we had to wait 1.5 hours for them to arrange a bus to pick us up -we were the very last people side from one other couple left at the park (is also like to note that not once did ANYONE at the resort tell us that they didn't have busses to/from Epcot). We returned to our room at approx midnight & had to wake up at 4:30am to catch a Lyft to return to the airport (had to be at the LAL airport by 6am). We finally get back, put the kids to bed, packed our suitcases & a FINALLY laid down. As soon as we laid down (right @ 1:30-1:45am), our youngest daughter vomited in her sleep into the bed that she & her sister were sharing! We called the front desk for assistance (to bring us new sheets, cleaning supplies, etc. while telling them what had happened), woke our daughter up, put her in the bath & waited roughly a full 1 hour for staff to bring the requested supplies. NOTE: our daughte was not sick with a virus but does have a sensitive stomach & we had ran out of Pepto (& we didn't have any options to buy Pepto so late at night so she wound up getting sick). When the cleaning lady arrived, she handed me a trash bag (not a biohazard bag or anything like that - just an oversized whiteish clearish trash bag), she refused to enter the room - precautions, okay fine... I get it - but NO cleaning supplies???? She made me remove & put the sheets into the bag myself & only handed me a clean top sheet (not a fitted sheet) & a yellowish itchy blanket to lay across the soiled mattress. With no cleaning supplies I had to handwash my daughter's nightgown in the sink with the stocked handsoap & then I hung it out to dry in the closet area. Then I had to spray my perfume onto the bed (my own attempt to mask the smell of vomit). Needless to say, we have our bed to the girls so that they could sleep & we did not get to go to sleep that night bc after all of that (after cleaning, washing, baths, etc.), it was 3am & we had to wake up at 4:30am to catch our scheduled Lyft at 5am so there was no point in trying to sleep.. we've been back to Disney once but refused to stay on Disney property (stayed at an AirBnB instead).

I have to say that I am struggling with "moderate" resorts at WDW.
Value resorts are generally available at a great price point and they pack a lot for what you pay. Moderate resorts marginally improve on the value resort experience, with the main differentiator being more on-site services and slightly larger rooms. Deluxe resorts raise the bar and are worth the premium.
Up until this stay, my "favorite" moderate resort was Coronado Springs... the rooms and overall ambiance is a notch above the rest of the moderate options. So no, Caribbean Beach does not come ahead... but for the price, and the ability to sleep five in some of the rooms with the convenient 5th sleeper option, this is a resort that has a lot to offer.
The location also has a lot to offer - the Skyliner access to Riviera, Hollywood Studio and Epcot is a great feature that has significantly contributed to our overall enjoyment of our stay there.
Yes, it is a fairly large complex, but we didn't find it problematic to go from where we were, to where we needed to be. Being in the Trinidad section, we were really close to the Skyliner station, we had one (smaller) pool next to our building and the attached restaurant was convenient for breakfast and lunch. The main building was maybe a 10 minutes walk which was fine for us.
Yes, those "moderate" resort rooms do have a bit of a motel vibe - even when considering the high quality amenities offered. This has to do with the layout and AC unit. Not much that one can do about that, and the only reason why our stay is rated as 4 stars (vs 5)
The beds were really comfortable. The shower temperature and water pressure was adequate. AC (and heat) worked fine during our stay. WIFI coverage was reliable. The look and feel was modern enough. There was enough space for the 5 of us to move around and store our bags. The room was clean when we arrived and had all the necessary amenities for our party size.
Because this section is toward the end of the complex, it is quieter than the rest of the resort. No issues with finding parking and accessing our room.
Disney took really good care of us during this stay. Highly recommended

We stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach resort. We were supposed to receive a free waterpark day on the day we arrived, but the staff informed us that they were no longer doing that promotion, even though we had already booked it. We took the day to explore the resort, grab some lunch, and go to Disney Springs. Our days at the park did not start until the following day.
We had a great location at the Caribbean Beach resort. We were on one of the buildings by the Skyliner at Riviera resort. It was very convenient to walk to the Skyliner when we need to get anywhere. I believe our room was a preferred location.
The staff of the resort was not super informed or friendly when we checked in. Apparently, we had some Disney magical experiences that we were supposed to get on the day that we checked in. They did not tell us this or even give this to us. On our next to last day, we went to the front desk and asked about our free putt putt at one of the mini golf places. They told us that Indeed, we did have this magical experience and the next last day they gave us our magical experience card. We found out that this card gave us discounts at various places throughout the Disney property, but they did not give it to us until our next to last day. When we tried to book a round of mini golf, we were told that you have to book those 24 hours in advance. They told us you could walk on and see if there was time for you to play, but they could not do a reservation. It’s obviously was frustrating because this should’ve been told to us right when we checked in.
Other than those minor hiccups, we had a good time at all the parks was convenient, travel being so close to the Skyliner.
The Caribbean Beach resort was OK. The room was fairly small for a family of four, but it had an extra full down bed that proved to be convenient. There are a lot of children at this resort in the main pool was constantly packed, so we just stayed at the pool near our area, which was far less busy.
