The rooms are comfortable Suites with doors off an inner courtyard that overlook a central pool. They provide a nice breakfast buffet that has typical hotel breakfast food (nothing special, but definitely substantial). Our only minor nitpick of the room and grounds are how worn they are...just smalls signs of wear and tear that border on neglect of maintenance. The location is awesome! Old Town is a short walk away with local attractions, and everything else you came to town for is a 20 drive. We'd stay here again.

DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE RELYING ON AIRPORT SHUTTLE. We booked this for the sole purpose of having a hotel with a shuttle to the airport. When we arrived at check-in, they said that the shuttle services at the times we needed were full. But never did they communicate that the shuttle required a reservation Or may fill up. So we ended up having to pay for an Uber out of our own pocket. Additionally, the front desk person and multiple requests to talk to managers went unanswered. So not only did we not get a service we paid for they did not even follow up and address it. Hotel was just okay anyways

The resort was very comfortable, and the room was also very nice and cozy. However, the issue was with the reception staff. When my mom and I arrived to check in, the man who assisted us was very rude and impatient. My mom doesn’t speak English, so I had to translate everything for her. There were two people at the reception desk: this man and a woman who seemed very friendly and polite. She was helping another guest when we arrived, so we had to check in with him. She later helped us communicate better and made things easier. There were many Latino guests at the resort, including us, so I don’t understand why there isn’t staff at the reception who could help with communication in other languages.

Customer service has been incredibly frustrating. There seems to be no accountability when their own system creates problems for customers. We booked a room for three adults and three children through Priceline, but the hotel confirmation incorrectly showed a maximum of two adults. To avoid issues, we booked a second room for two adults and two children—only to receive another confirmation again limiting the room to two guests. We called the hotel directly and were assured the first room could accommodate all six people. However, they refused to cancel or refund the second room, even though the discrepancy clearly originated from both the booking platform and the hotel’s system. At check-in, we attempted once more to resolve the issue, only to be met with a dismissive response from the front desk, insisting both reservations were limited to two adults. This is unacceptable. Your systems failed, your staff provided conflicting information, and yet you still refused to correct the mistake. Customers should not be penalized for your errors. This experience reflects a complete breakdown in accountability, and frankly, it’s the kind of service that guarantees we won’t be booking with you again.

This was the most shocking hotel experience I’ve ever had—literally. I was electrocuted by an outlet while plugging in my phone, no I’m not joking. There was a visible spark and a noticeable jolt going all the way up my arm. That is a serious safety hazard, not a minor inconvenience, and something that should never happen in a guest room. - Unfortunately, that was only the half. The room was not clean to an acceptable standard: paper towels, toilet paper, and tissues were all partially used upon arrival. The paper towel roll even had visible dirty fingerprints and what appeared to be food residue on it. There were also old bobby pins on the floor, which made it clear the room had not been properly cleaned. - The overall condition of the room fell well below what I associate with Staybridge Suites. It felt more like a poorly maintained roadside motel than a hotel under this brand. The air conditioning unit made a loud banging noise every time the compressor kicked on, and the pipes rattled constantly. - Then there’s the additional noise—the pool area is extremely loud, open until 11pm, and appears to be completely unmonitored. If your room is anywhere near it, don’t expect to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. To their credit, the hotel offered a late checkout for our troubles, but given the noise levels, that feels less like a courtesy and more like a necessity. - If that weren’t enough, the situation somehow worsened during the day: there was active drilling and banging right outside of our window. Not nearby—directly into the wall of the hotel. After an already disruptive night, awaking to that level of noise is unacceptable. Between the electrical issue, lack of cleanliness, and constant noise, I left with a headache to match the tingling in my arm from being electrocuted. I will be seeing a doctor about this, obviously. - Perhaps most disappointing is the lack of follow-through. My husband was told that we would receive a call from management regarding these issues, and that call never came. That, more than anything, gives the impression that guest concerns and safety are not being taken seriously. - We have had positive experiences with other Staybridge Suites locations, which makes this stay stand out even more—for all the wrong reasons. This property appears to have significant gaps in maintenance, housekeeping, and overall guest care. The electrical issue alone warrants immediate attention and quite obviously, the staff couldn’t care less. - I would strongly encourage management—and the broader brand—to take a serious look at this location. This place being associated with the Staybridge name should concern ownership and stakeholders. Until then, I would not feel comfortable staying here ever again, or any IHG property for that matter. My husband is a rewards member, we’ve stayed at multiple properties under the brand, and have never had such a nightmarish experience until now. That being said, we will be looking into a different hotel chain next time we drive down to Florida. Absolutely unacceptable!
